"Aha! There you are, Kiyo!"

Korekiyo glanced up from the artifact in his lab he was currently studying, a hint of surprise in his eyes at the fact that Angie was here. It wasn't out of character for her to show up randomly, and yet he still didn't expect it.

"Hello, Angie," He said, "May I help you?"

Angie hummed, looking around his lab at all of the artifacts and books he had before walking up to him.

"Nope! Just wanted to say hi," She grinned, "Whatcha up to?"

Korekiyo pointed towards the scrolls in front of him.

"Just researching further on these scrolls. They are quite interesting..." He murmured, but he appeared unfocused. And in truth, he was.

He hadn't started his day off well. Last night, he had a nightmare about his sister. The scenes that plagued his mind and her sickeningly sweet voice made him feel ill. No matter how hard he tried to shake it, he couldn't stop thinking about it. Couldn't stop his mind from wandering about what happened, couldn't stop himself from feeling terribly uncomfortable in his own skin.

And for some reason, the haze of regression had been creeping up on him all day. A chance at normalcy in his childhood, a chance to forget about what had happened to him even if just for a moment.

He didn't want to. While he knew it would likely make him feel better... He never wanted to be that vulnerable again. Even if he regressed, he knew the discomfort would still remain.

Nothing would ever rid him of it.

"Hellooo? Kiyo?" Angie tilted her head at him, "Are you there?"

He blinked. Had he spaced out?

"Yes," He cleared his throat, "Sorry."

She stared at him for a moment, before a frown fell onto her lips.

"Everybody's worried about you," She said, "You've been really strange today. You didn't speak to anybody at breakfast and you've been locked up in your lab all day."

Korekiyo winced. Ah... had it really been that obvious?

"I'm alright. I apologize if I have worried you," He chose his words carefully.

Angie looked at him for a moment longer before shrugging and clasping her hands together.

"Yahaha! That's good to hear!" She exclaimed cheerfully, "How about we do something fun, then? Maybe we could paint something together!"

Korekiyo blinked. When he didn't respond, she tapped her cheek thoughtfully.

"Orrr... We could check out the kitchen! I would love to bake something with you, Kiyo! Maybe we could even make fun shaped cookies!"

"I... I'm not sure if I'm up for that right now—"

"That's fine!" Angie hummed, "We can always go to the library! I'll read you that one story you like."
