"Woah woah! Stop!" Y/n said, standing between the two. "Down with your fingers, both of you." She held up her own glowing finger. Tedros lowered his finger, Sophie didn't.
"Rafal said–"
"Sophie, it doesn't matter," Y/n said. "He won't matter anymore. We'll take him down and we can have our happy ending back, okay?"
"But it won't be a happy ending," Sophie said. "Not for you, not for me. We can't be happy like that."
"Sophie, I understand it's hard for you that I don't feel the same way, but–"
"It's not that!" Sophie finally snapped. "It's just– just..." She started to cry a little.
"Uh..." Tedros said, feeling a little awkward. "Am I interrupting something?"Y/n now noticed something on Sophie's ringed hand, right under the ring. "Sophie? What do you have under your ring?" she asked, walking closer to Sophie.
"It's nothing really," Sophie said. "J-just some dir–" Y/n took her hand and moved the ring.
"That– that–" She said, then her eyes widened. "Why do you have Tedros' name on your finger?"
"What?!" Tedros said.
"I–" Sophie sobbed. "I asked my ring who my true love was. I wanted it to say your name! I just wanted to be reassured, because I missed you. But it didn't give me your name, it says my true love is Tedros."
Tedros made a puking sound."And now what?" Y/n asked, not sure what to say or do.
"Let's say that I have another chance with Tedros," Sophie proposed.
"Over my dead body!" Tedros said, appalled at the thought. "Nuhu, no way!"
"Well, if I need to question my ending and true love, so do you," Sophie said. "Seems fair to me.""Maybe..." Y/n thought it over. "Maybe it would be a good idea. Let's be honest, Tedros, maybe you and I need a bit of a break."
"What? Why?" he said.
"Tedros, we've been constantly fighting the past twenty-four hours," said Y/n. "And I think some of your behavior is a little... concerning."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Tedros asked. "What have I done that's concerning behavior to you?"
"Tedros, you said just a few hours ago 'You're mine, and that's final'," Y/n recounted. "You're possessive and a bit controlling. Maybe it would be best for us to take a break, and you can give Sophie a chance.""And what, you'll just choose Agatha over me?" Tedros huffed, walking closer to her. "That's what this is, isn't it? You prefer Agatha over me."
"I never said that," Y/n said, forming an x with her arms. "But you have always assumed that. So to me it sounds like you're self conscious."
"And what if I am a bit self conscious, huh?" Tedros asked, face red. "Who wouldn't be when everyone in this damned place seems to want you because you're just so goddamn Good and everyone likes you, and what if I'm scared that you will just leave me because I'm an idiot and a mess with a falling kingdom."Tedors stomped even closer, but stopped in his tracks when Y/n took her arms over her head, like trying to protect herself in case he hit her, realizing he might have been a little too emotional. "I–..."
"Can't you see, Tedros?" Sophie asked. "This isn't good for you or Y/n. It isn't good for anyone. All you two will do is hurt each other."
"But I– I would never," Tedros said, taking a step back from Y/n. "I would never mean to hurt you."
"Tedros," Y/n said. "I understand you mean well. But at the end, as we are now, both you and me aren't good for each other,"
"But..." Tedros pleaded. "Y/n, please.""It's time for all of us to face the truth. It's time for the last Ever After," Sophie pressed, walking closer to Tedros. "Continuing down this path, you'll never make each other happy, Y/n won't be happy. And if you truly love her, isn't that what you should want most?" She stared into his eyes. "Surely you learnt that from your father."
Tedros' turned away, gritting so hard that they could see the bones of his jaw. "You know nothing about my father," he said.
"Teddy, listen to me. I'll leave my promised ending with Y/n, just like you all want," said Sophie gently. "I'll destroy our rings and commit my heart to Good forever. I'll follow you and Y/n and Agatha to your kingdom, fully accepting you might choose Y/n and I'll end up alone, the shadow of your happy ending. All I ask of you is a simple promise: that you'll for a while, give up your ending with Y/n too, and give me another chance before you choose."
Slowly Tedros looked back at Y/n.
