(So you guys know, the promised Q&A chapter will be placed after book 3 instead of before, I feel like that fits better story wise. And then one after book 6 with a 10 year jump.)

"You don't know the first thing about me," Tedros spat, and clubbed his friend in the face with a musty pillow. Agatha coughed and bashed him with a pillow right back, knocking him against her black bed frame, as feathers burst all over him. Reaper leapt onto Tedros' face, trying to eat them.
"I know too much about you is the problem," Agatha scoffed.
"Oh, cut it out you two," Y/n said with an exasperated sigh. Y/n went up to Tedros to fix the poorly set bandages under his collar. Tedros shoved her away–"Oh look what you did," Tedros said to Agatha. "Now she will be a worry wart about the bandages that are totally fine."
"Oh, like you have a problem with Y/n touching your body," Agatha rolled her eyes
Y/n shoved Tedros back, before he threw the cat at her head. Y/n ducked and Reaper sailed into the bathroom, flailing bald, wrinkled paws, before landing headfirst into the toilet."You know I don't need help, so cut it out," Tedros said, crossing his arms. "I can do it myself."
"You– did you just throw a cat at me?" Y/n asked, looking back into the bathroom.
"Such a prat," Agatha said. "She's just trying to save you from gangrene."
"That cat is Satan," Tedros hissed, watching Reaper try to climb out the toilet bowl and slide back down. "And if you knew me, you'd know I hate cats."
"No doubt you like dogs– wet-mothed, simple, follow after their little owner desperate for attention, and now that I think about it, a lot like you." Agatha huffed, watching Y/n help Reaper out of the toilet.
Tedros glowered at her. "Getting personal over a bandage, are we?""Tedros, it's been almost five months and that wound hasn't healed at all. Mine healed a long time ago," Y/n said, washing off her hands. She always said her wound was fully healed. But in truth, she still felt sore in her right arm and shoulder, and sometimes she had a hard time using it. Like right now, then she had to use her left arm to support her right to get into the sink. "It'll fester soon if I don't get to treat it–"
"Maybe they do it differently here in a graveyard, but where I come from, a bandage does the trick."
"A bandage that looks like it was made by a two-year-old?" Agatha mocked.
"You try getting stabbed with your own sword as you're vanishing," said Tedros. "You should feel lucky Y/n saved me or he'd have run me through–"
"Or maybe luckily that I was the one making us get here," Agatha said. "So you should feel lucky Y/n didn't remember what an ape you are and left you behind."
"As if she would leave me," Tedros said. "I'm the only boy she would have ever found in this rat hole."
"Lucky she has me then, you little–""Okay, let's stop it right there," Y/n said, glaring at the two with a shivering reaper in her arms. "Before anyone's feelings get hurt. I wouldn't have left either of you, okay?"
The two exhaled, looking ashamed. Tedros stripped off his shirt, spread out his arms, and sat on the bed.
"Have at it, princess," he said. For the next ten minutes, none of them spoke as Y/n rinsed the four-inch gash across her prince's chest with rose oil, witch hazel, and a dash of white peony from Agatha's mother's cart of herbal potions. Thinking about how Tedros had earned the wound, a hairbreadth from his heart, made Y/n's stomach chill, and she forced her focus back to her task.
