This is so fucking wild I can't believe it. My first fic that I'll actually have finished. I just love SGE so much man, my special interest is definitely fueling me.)

"Impossible..." Sophie rasped to Y/n. "H-how did he get in?"
"Because wizards can go freely between each other's thinking places..." Y/n said, mentally beating herself up for forgetting. "Japeth's a sorcerer, just like me."
"Then why did we hide in here?" Agatha questioned.
"Because I forgot!" Y/n shot out, she blinked a few times. "Hey, that actually felt pretty nice to admit for once."

Japeth stared hard at Y/n, his face in shadow, the whites of his eyes glowing in the dark. He slithered through the tear in the woods, jumping past fallen trees, landing in a crouch. Then he rose, his blue-and-gold suit rippling in the moonlight. Slowly, his king's suit melted pitch-black, the Snake returned, scims shrieking and sliding all over his body.
His eyes never left her.
Agatha shielded her girlfriend. "Run. Now."
Scims spiked for Y/n's head, her and the other three ducking behind trees. More scims came for her, making her roll to her side down a slope, only to then notice the slop led to a cliffside, making her fall through the sky, watching trees bellow, tumbling into inevitable pain—

A red horn hooked through her collar, Hester's demon slobbering in her face— "nogoodverbadday"— before it flung Y/n onto a cloud in the sky, its master standing on it.
"Stay behind me," Hester hissed, blocking her.
"Thanks," Y/n panted out, still a bit shaken.
"Well, if you die, we all die," Hester huffed. "And you know, I guess I do like you a bit."
Y/n looked around. "Merlin!" Y/n said, pointing at the wailing wizard atop the crystal moon. "We have to get Merlin!"
Hester's demon soared for the ball of crystal, snatching the six-year-old in its claws and flying him higher and higher. But the Snake had no interest in Merlin. He stayed locked on Y/n, his chest exposed where the scims had peeled off him.
Scims still on the loose.

She spun just in time—
They speared for Y/n's face and she plunged into the center of the cloud, barely eluding them. She popped her head through, spitting out fluff. She muttered a few chants, swishing her hands, creating another rift in the sky.
The scims circled around, angling for Y/n harder, faster.
Hester yanked her back into the cloud—
"I'll use that portal," Y/n panted. "Scims will follow me out... All of you will be safe... I just need the magic carpet to get me there..."
She peeked up, searching for Nightwind... then saw the carpet veer sharply, Beatrix, Kiko, and Nicola aboard to ambush the Snake, swords aimed at his open flesh—
Scims launched off Japeth's shoulder and slammed into Nightwind, obliterating it to shreds, sending the girls scattering to clouds.

"Y/n, look out!" Sophie cried from the ground.
Eels whizzed upwards, nicking Y/n's and Hester's ears, before both girls dodged into the cloud, tunneling through fluff. They hit the end of the cloud, nearly plummeting over. Scims slashed down on either side of them, cutting holes into white. Y/n spied through one of these holes, tracking the cloud path to the gash in the sky. "I have to make a run for it..."
"You'll be dead in a second!" Hester said. "You won't make it one cloud!"
"Watch me," Y/n steeled.

Like a gazelle, she sprung for the next one up—
Scims blasted for her; Y/n recoiled mid-jump, twisting awkwardly and flopping back onto Hester's cloud, just missing the eels sizzling past her.
"Ho hum," Hester growled.
Only now the Snake was the one moving, who'd managed to climb up a tall tree and was now bounding across clouds, more scims rocketing off him for Y/n, this time from a closer distance, too fast to escape. Y/n shoved Hester side, saving her friend, the scims about to run Y/n through—

Dean Brunhilde lunged in front of her, hacking eels with her sword. "In all my years, did my best to turn Evil into Good! Well, killing every last one of you sounds Good to me!" Gobs of black-and-green goo sprayed onto her armor, Dean Brunhilde axing them with a vengeance. Y/n stared at the older women in surprise, looking around to see that most of the others had also made their way into the sky now.
