(So u guys know, I'll stop using pictures. It's such a headache to try and find any pictures on google these days that aren't Ai. Might already have accidentally used Ai in this story, and I just don't condone that stuff as an artist myself. So from now on there just won't be any pictures.)

"Maybe we have to close our eyes," said Tedros.
"Or so a rain dance in pajamas while singing 'Ring Around the Rosie'" Agatha grumped, petting Reaper in her lap. "It's past dinnertime and I'm starving. How many times do we need to try this?"
"Until it works, I suppose," Y/n said, trying her best to be hopeful. "Let's just try again. One... two... three!" Y/n scrunched up her face, Tedros and Agatha did too, and the three of them thrust their index fingers at each other. They exhaled at the same time and opened their eyes.None of their fingertips was glowing.
Tedros peered closely at Agatha's. "You bite your nails too much."
"Maybe it's my lack of control in my arm?" Y/n suggested, looking at her right arm.
"No, we just can't get back into the woods without our magic," Agatha said, shoving her hand away from Tedros. "Our Magic should follow emotion, mine and Tedros'. That's what we learnt in school. If the three of us makes a wish at the same time our magic should come back and the gate should open–""Unless one of us is having doubts," said Tedros.
"Then I suggest you get over them," Agatha huffed, standing up. Tedros and Y/n glanced at each other. "Let's try this in the morning. Mother's never this late. She'll be here any second–"
"Agatha," Y/n said.
She saw Y/n giving her a lopsided grin... the one that said she knew what she was thinking, even if she was doing everything she could to keep it from her."Sometimes I forget how well you know me," Agatha sighed.
"It's okay if you want to say goodbye to your mother first–"
"That'll just make the doubts worse," mumbled Agatha. "How do you tell your mother you're leaving?"
"How would we know? Y/n's was killed and mine left without saying goodbye," Tedros replied.
Agatha looked up at the two, suddenly feeling very stupid.Y/n slid up closer to Agatha. "What is it, my love?" she asked. "What are you really afraid of?"
Agatha felt panic rising, something coming up sh couldn't keep down–
"What if I'm the problem?" Agatha blurted. "Every time I try to be happy it goes wrong. First with Sophie. And now this, where you two are miserable. And all I can think of is that it's not us who are broken... it's me. Maybe everything would have been better if I never ran after Sophie, if you and her went to school alone. I'm just the girl who ruins everyone's story. The girl who's meant to be alone. That's why I'm afraid to leave my mother. Because what if I'm not supposed to be with you, Y/n? What if I was always meant to be just her, alone and never finding love at all?"
Y/n and Tedros froze, taken aback.
Slowly Agatha felt the air return to her lungs, as if a boulder had lifted from her chest."Agatha," Y/n said, pulling the black haired down to the floor softly. "Of course you're supposed to be with me. You're not just some accidental addition. Without you, I don't think I would have ever been the same. Sophie would have surely still become a witch that first year, but without you, I would have still been sad and miserable. You led me to everything I love in this world Agatha, and I could never be without you."
Agatha felt herself become red as a cherry, staring at her girlfriend who leaned against her chest.
"I love you, Agatha," Y/n said. "You never ruined my fairy tale. You made it better in all ways."And you know," Tedros traced his finger between bricks in the floor. "We only see the finished storybooks, Agatha. How do we know every Ever After doesn't take a few tries? Think about it. Each time you two left the woods, you tried to come back to your old life. But this time is different, isn't it? When we get to our true ending, you'll ave a new life by Y/n's side in my castle. We'll have my kingdom to protect, the three of us as a team, until we're old ourselves and it's time to pass it on. Just like my father did and his father and all who came before."
Looking at him, Agatha realized how selfish and small-hearted she'd been by keeping Y/n and Tedros here.
"I promise," Y/n said, squeezing her hand. "This time, we will be happy."
