(Finally got winter break for the next three weeks!)

Y/n dreamt nothing but a pitch black void. She was completely alone, wearing nothing but her old night gown she had used when she lived in Gavaldon.

"Hello?" she called out into the void... nothing answered back.

Then suddenly she winced as she was blinded by a blue light. She protected her eyes with her hands for a few seconds, then peeked through her fingers. In front of her was a blue butterfly, fluttering in front of her. She slowly approached it, trying to reach out for it, until she noticed her right arm completely gone. When she looked up again, the butterfly started to fly away.

She ran after the blue butterfly, running in this black void that slowly morphed into Gavaldon. She ran for graves hill, past houses and cottages. Nobody was there, and everything looked gray, like it had once before, in an old dream she had had. After a while, the butterfly was no longer a butterfly, instead it was now Sophie, but as a spirit. Sophie's spirit ran to the grave yard and stumbled around it like a maze, Y/n helplessly following after. That was until they got to three graves, once she recognized, only they were now so gigantic that she couldn't see the tops out of them.

Sophie's spirit absorbed into one of them, and changed. Out came three new spirits. In front of the grave with the black swan, came Vanessa, and out from the one white swan came Stefan, and in the middle grave came Honora. Behind Honora's back, Stefan and Vanessa held hands. Then the hands almost seemed to rot like zombies, malting away in a grotesque way. They gave each other deathly glares, then their eyes turned to Honora, oblivious to it all. Vanessa and Stefan both pounded at Honora like hungry animals, clawing and biting each other to get to her.

"History repeats," a voice said.

Y/n flinched and look back, behind her was Calis, but much prettier and younger, her ring finger contented by a chain to a girl Y/n's same age, almost looking identical to Y/n, just slightly different. Y/n took a step back, and lost her footing, suddenly falling into an open grave. She fell for what felt like eternity, like a rabbit hole. She tried to grip onto the walls with her left arm, but the dirt turned wet and mushy, starting to fall over her. But with one blink, she was instead in the School Master's tower, making her stumble back slightly, falling to the ground.

In front of her were two men, identical, except one had blue eyes and the other green. Both of them looked directly at her, eyes drilling into her. That's when she noticed their clothes were different. The one with blue eyes had a white and gold robe, like all the art of the Good School Master, but on his chest was a black swan. The one with green eyes instead had a black and silver robe, like the Evil School master, but on his chest was a white swan.

"Who am I?" They both said at the same time, their voices echoing in the tower making the question echo over and over and over, until Y/n almost felt like she was going insane. The two School Master's now morphed into one blue eyed beast, pounding at her. She closed her eyes and crouched down like a ball, her knees over her ears to mute the sound. Still she could hear the echo, and she awaited impact, felling the scars on her chest burn with pain, thinking about Sophie... until the echo suddenly stooped, and the attack she waited for never came. She opened her eyes, and she was back in the black void.

"I know the answer," something whispered. Y/n looked around, but saw nothing where it could come from. Then she felt a tingle from her right hand, who was suddenly back, arm included. She looked down at her ring, glowing white. "Ask me the right question." It said.

Just as Y/n was about to ask one, she awoke, soggy with sweat, to a sea of empty mattresses around her. The only other one was Agatha who also just woke, just as sweaty and nervous. Y/n's entire body ached from the previous day's journey, specifically her arm and shoulder, and her forehead pounded so hard she had to squint, pulsing with the remnants of her dream and everything Merlin had told her last night. With a groan, she slid her feet onto the sandy cave floor and sat up on the edge of the bed.
