Is it absurd that the first thing my mother tells me is that my sister just called asking for help to work at her newly opened nail shop because her employee is missing?
Missing as in they don't want to work or something came up.
No. These things happen sometimes.
But is it absurd to hear that my sister told my mom not to tell her workplace the reason she can't go to work today and to make an excuse she needs to go somewhere?
Yes.
Not only does everyone know each other. Asians gossip a lot. And all the stores are under my sister and her husband's management. The stores are owned by an in-law.
Only the newly opened nail shop is owned by my sister.
Anyways I can't understand motherly love. My mother actually endured all this nonsense when my sister already treated her like a stranger.
If it was me, I would yell at her.
