THE AMAZING SPIDER-BAT

THE ORPHAN PART 3

Many League Of Shadow ninjas make their way inside Parker mansion, while Spider-Bat stands there, waiting for them in the darkness. The assassins all search for the Dark Arachnid but can't find him anywhere. At that moment, as one of the Assassins walks upstairs, a pair of eyes are seen behind him in the darkness. When the Assassin turns around he is grabbed by the face and slammed into the wall, knocking him out. Another ninja soon approaches but Peter shoots out a web onto his chest and pulls him into a choke hold, knocking him out as well. Soon the rest of the Assassins see their unconscious comrades on the ground, but no sign of Spider-Bat. At that moment, Spider-Bat his spotted in the middle of the room.

"There!"

The hero is then swarmed by Shadows, all with their swords drawn. Peter cracks his neck and prepares to fight, as he and the Assassins have a stand off. The Shadows then charges at Peter with full force. One of the Assassins swings their sword at his head, but Peter dodges, landing a right jab and a roundhouse kick combo. Another Assassin leaps into the air and gets kicked in the chest, dropping him to the ground. Peter then catches a blade that was aimed at his throat, snapping it in half and landing a backfist that breaks the ninjas jaw. Another Shadow member charges in with an attack but Peter grabs him by the wrist, breaks his arm, then lands multiple punches to the gut and lands a knee to his face. He then starts webbing multiple ninjas to the wall and floor, knocking them out in the process. The other league of Shadow members start throwing Shurikens but Peter flips out of the way and counters with his Batarangs. The hero then shoots out taser webs onto four Assassins. He then dodges a sword strike, kicking and breaking the Assassins leg then flipping him to the ground.

"Who's next?" Peter asks with a smile.

Meanwhile, in the Batcave, Tim, Ben, Andrea, Jill, and Cassandra all watch Peter fight the league of Shadows on his own.

"Wow. He's actually beating an army of ninjas." Tim says

At that moment, Tim's Spider-Sense goes off for the first time.

"Look out!" Tim yells, pushing Ben out of the way off a Shuriken.

They all turn around and see Lady Shiva standing behind them.

"I'll be taking my daughter now." Shiva says.

Everyone pauses for a moment before Tim steps forward.

"Let's hope I can be less predictable."

While that's happening, Peter pushes two Assassins out of the way and lands an uppercut on a third Assassin. He then dodges a sword strike and tackles the assassin through the staircase and to the ground. Another Assassin rushes at him, but Peter quickly sweeps his legs from under him and flips in the air, slamming his heel on the back of his head. Peter slowly gets up, exhausted and covered in cuts and blood when he gets a call.

"Ben, is everything-"

"Sir! You must get to the cave immediately!" Ben yells.

"Crap!" Peter says, running towards the bookshelf.

In the cave, Tim dodges a few of Shiva's strikes then throws a punch. Shiva catches his fist, twisting his wrist.

"You have his abilities. But not his skills." Shiva says.

Tim then flips in the air but gets roundhouse kick in the face, knocking him out. Ben then swings a silver trey at her, but Shiva easily dodges and lands a palm strike to his chest, sending him to the ground. She then looks over and sees Jill and Andrea covering Cassandra as she cowers in fear.

"Is this what you want, Cassandra? These people to die, trying to protect you from your destiny?"

Cassandra closes her eyes, covering her head in fear. Cassandra let's out a sigh of frustration.

"Fine. So be it." Shiva says.

Before she can approach them, Peter swings in and tackles her off the upper level and down to the lower platform. The two kip up to their feet and start circling each other.

"You beat all my men. I'm a little impressed." Shiva says.

Peter smirks.

"Only a little?"

"Because I know they're still breathing." Shiva says.

Peter nods, then quickly throws Batarangs at her. Shiva easily dodges them all and charges foward. The hero then shoots out a web, with Shiva again dodging, grabbing him by the arm and flipping him towards the ground. Peter quickly lands on his feet, grabs her by the back of her head and lands multiple knee strikes to her gut. Shiva breaks free and punches Peter in the jaw. Peter dodges another punch and throws a kick that gets dodged as well. Peter blocks a second attempt at a punch but is unable to block the third, then gets kicked in the face.

"Pathetic. You could have easily taken me out by now if you weren't holding back. Still clinging onto that ridiculous code of yours. You could never use Cassandra properly." Shiva says.

Peter spits out blood.

"You talk about her like she's a weapon. Not a child." Peter says.

Angry at the comment, Shiva rushes in with multiple strikes but is able to block and dodge her. He then uses an elbow block against a punch, then lands an uppercut to her stomach. She tries to throw a kick but Peter catches her leg and throws her into the wall. Shiva throws a punch but catches it and twists her arm. She then leaps into the air and kicks Peter off, causing him to stumble back. Shiva charges in but Peter quickly grabs her by the throat and slam her to the ground.

"I told Ra's Al Ghul the same thing I'm going to tell you. New York is off limits to The League Of Shadows. Cassandra stays here. Now get out of my city." Peter says.

Peter slowly let's go, allowing Shiva to stand to her feet. The two have stand off while Cassandra steps forward.

"This isn't over." Shiva says.

Shiva then leaves the cave. Peter takes a few deep breaths before approaching Cassandra and giving her a hug. Tears start to fall down her face as she hugs him back as Tim, Ben get back to their feet and looks on with Jill and Andrea.
