Guys as per wattpad statistics I get 2000 unique readers the day I upload a new chapter and around 750-1000 unique readers the subsequent days, yet only 1400 votes, that too if there is a target.

Not to mention the views to votes ration is also around 4:1 or 3:1 on good days.

I am not changing the target by much but can we please try to get more votes 🥺

You like the chapters right, why not show your love?

Also please do consider following me. There will be a double update if I reach 7.5K followers, whichever day it is.

Anyway, this chapter has 4300+ words and ends with a question so make sure you read till the end.

Target for next chapter: 1425 votes and 750 comments

*** Yashoda***

"Evaraina choosuntara 🎵 (Did anyone ever see)" I sang as I played music with the spoon and plate in my hand.

"Nadiche Nakshatranni 🎵 (A walking star)" Meenakshi continued the song I had taught her.

"Yedorusthe egabadipora 🎵 (If they see one, wouldn't they run towards it)" I continued, swaying my body back and forth, dancing.

"Nene aa chitranni 🎵 (Yes, I am that walking star)" Meenakshi sang along, and we started dancing together.

"Mari pandistunna raithu nai...chiru navu totaalni 🎵 (I am a farmer who sows smiles)," we both sang in unison.

"Paripalistunna rani nai mari... 🎵 (I am a queen who rules...)" I continued—until I caught sight of General Sir at the entrance.

What is he doing here? He wasn't even supposed to be here at this time!

I looked down as he continued staring at me, either actually angry or just pretending to be... I couldn't tell.

"Paripalistunna rani nai 🎵..." Meenakshi, who hadn't noticed the General yet, jumped forward. "Continue, Yashu...." She paused mid-movement, her energy fading the moment she saw him. "Mrs. Yashoda..." she corrected herself in a whisper while we both stood there in absolute silence.

After what felt like an eternity, Dheeru slowly walked toward me, stopping right in front of me. He put his hands behind his back, his eyes locked onto mine.

I sometimes really wish this cuttlefish would stick to one color.

It's getting confusing.
