Tonight was your night to go out with your friends, you were going to get some time out because you needed it. You had spent your week working your ass off and now you need this break, some good booze will help down this crap feeling of work and loneliness. Your only friend at the moment was your reflection as you finished up your make-up, you were getting all dolled up for tonight because you were going to make an impression on someone. You laughed to yourself before puckering your lips and popping them, finally done with that and all you had to do was slip on some shoes and you were ready to get going. You looked through your millions of pair before eyes a lovely red pair that wouldn't be too much with the outfit you already wore.
"Bag, phone, keys. . ." you muttered searching for each item as you named it before clapping your hands together in relief, it was time to go. You had always had a special place in your heart for vintage things but you certainly didn't have the money to afford a car to match the look so you used your new one.
"This band is awesome!" one of your girlfriends cheered over the music as you made your way to the bar to order your drinks. The band was okay at best, you could name off a million other that were better but this would do for tonight. It wasn't like you came for the music anyways, you order a jack and coke before taking your spot next to your friends and a dark-haired man. If you were being honest he needed a shave and clearly a hair cut but you kept to your own business.
An hour later and three drinks in you were feeling the buzz but you were not drunk, though the same could not be said about your friend. She was plastered and ended up falling onto the guy that sat on your other side as she was trying to stumble her way to the bathroom. After helping her with a long sigh you watched her stumble away before sitting back down. You called to the bartender for another one of what he was drinking before sliding it to him,
"Sorry about her," you smiled taking a side glance at him and noticing the glint of metal but deciding it was best not to ask.
"She cannot hold her liquor, I've told her a million times to stop trying but" you mumbled shrugging, you reached your hand over and told him your name before asking for his.
"Bucky" he grumbled shaking your hand quickly.
"So, Bucky, you don't look like you're from around here" you started as you placed your last drink for the night on the counter and turning to him fully.
"You in from outta town?" he looked at you, his eyes looking at you as if to trust you or not. It was clear from just the way he was looking at you that he, one, had trust issues and, two had something to hide but you weren't a very nosy girl. . .sober. The buzz always did make you a bit more nosy than you needed to be but you always said it made you more outgoing because otherwise you wouldn't talk to anyone.
"Yes" he answered again, still looking at you and you began to feel self-conscious "thanks for the drink, I can pay you back-" you held your hand up to stop his talking.
"All on her" you smiled kindly before laughing with him, he had a very pleasant laugh for a dark looking man. You had pointed to your friend who through the chaos and drunkenness somehow made it back to her seat in one piece. . .scratch that, she was missing her shoes now but relatively in one piece. You had all but forgotten the time or why you'd even come here tonight when you started talking to Bucky.
It was about the time for the bar to close, you two had gotten fairly close after he downed a few more drinks and actually started talking more. You hadn't realized how interesting his stories were until you were laughing asking for another one, slowly inching closer with each new one. You were truly having a great time, reluctantly you had to leave to get your passed out friend home as well as yourself.
"I had a great time, we should hang out again" you smiled when he held out his hand to help you off of the stool, you didn't need it but it was a kind gesture.
"We should" once you had both feet on the ground he promptly pulled you into him and you squeaked in surprise. Suddenly things got very quiet between the two of you,
"You look just like a pin-up from back then" he whispered stroking your cheek and you face flushed red from both embarrassment and the closeness to him. Your mind taking you through all of the things you wanted to do but wouldn't admit to anyone had they tried to ask. You felt his breath on your neck and yours stopped in your throat, you don't know what was happening but you were certainly enjoying it.
"Th-thanks, see you around?" you asked stepping away from him completely flustered as you turned towards your friend trying to figure out how you were going to get her into your car or even a taxi for that matter. When you didn't hear a response you turned around,
"Bucky. . ." you whispered after realizing there was no one behind you anymore and your other two friends were finally coming back to you for the night.
"You guys got her?" they nodded and you headed towards the door quickly, you were going to find him again.
"Where are you going?! You have to help us with her" the taller of your friends whined and you shrugged,
"Sorry guys but I'm on a manhunt and I'm going to find him, later!" you grinned, you hadn't had this much fun since highschool and you were enjoying the rush it gave you, just like the rush you felt when he pulled you in and you shivered thinking about it. You were going to find him again, you had no doubts about that.
