You were pulling up your jeans when he stirred on the bed. He was clearly nude underneath the sheets you had just removed yourself from. You remembered enough to know what had happened the night before, so let's rewind.
You had been invited by Tony and his friends along with quite a large portion of the well-known population in New York. You were a biochemist working in a lab downtown, you were well-known and worked hard. You helped Shield when you could, helped Bruce when he asked and helped the police when needed. You weren't a bad girl. You worked hard. You just never could 'settle down' as you mom and dad put it but you hadn't found anyone worth that time or commitment.
You were dressed in a fairly lovely dress, nothing too fancy but nothing too casual either. You kept a spare pair of clothes in your bag, just in case you needed something else to change into once you were bored of the party. You had your hair up in a neat pony tail and your make-up done by your sister, she was always better that those sorts of things then you had ever been. You two always joked about if you ever got married she'd be the one doing the make-up and hair so you wouldn't have to pay someone else to do it.
You were greeted by loud rock music and laughing. You recognized most of the laughing as colleagues of yours and others you dismissed as no one but a strangers. You made your way to your favorite spot in the Stark Tower, the bar. You liked a good drink and tony always provided you with plenty of free ones because, as he puts it, you're far too pretty to have to pay for this and I'm a billionaire so it's on me. Who'd complain?
"Well, don't you look lovely!" Tony's voice was loud, as usual.
"Why thank you, Mr. Stark." You smiled and sat neatly on the stool beside a man you had not met before.
"So, what would you like, Lovely?" You rolled your eyes.
"Stop with the nicknames already and all I want is a shot of Tennessee Whiskey." You said and he provided.
"I don't know why you're so offended by the nicknames." Tony said, clearly trying to make conversation.
"Nicknames are reserved for very close friends, which I don't consider you to be." You remarked with a smirk watching his grow.
"Offended, truly. Have you met mister tall dark and brooding, yet?" He point to your left where the man was still sitting.
"Rude, Tony but no I haven't. If I'm being honest, you don't have to do the introducing I can manage on my own." You downed the shot and placed the glass on the table again.
"Besides, we're both adults and I do not need you trying to hook me up with another man again. The last time that happened you both nearly lost your balls, remember?" You narrowed your eyes at him and he cringed.
Tony was bad at setting you up, long story short they were both begging for mercy by the time you were done with them. Rude, inconsiderate, and far too in your face for your liking. You liked men that were calm and casual, men that didn't need your affection but liked it anyways. Men that didn't get jealous over everyone who looked at you twice.
