It was common to be busy here at the Shield offices, everyone was and you were no exception. You worked hard, kept pace just enough to keep your job on a daily basis before heading home to collapse in exhaustion. The busy work from day to day was not what you enjoyed but you couldn't always have a mission, you couldn't always be doing the things you wanted to be so you had to suck it up. Not that you didn't take any opportunity to complain about that, you loved talking to Natasha about how much of a shit-head some of the others could be. Most of the time she was who you vented to, she was a very good friend of yours but you couldn't help but feel a little jealous of the red-head. She was everything you wished you could be some days, you were especially jealous of her relationship with Clint. He was so much fun to be around that you two hit it off exceptionally well and have been very close friends ever since. You had always wished it was more, always daydreaming about being able to finally hug him and kiss him.
"Hey, Heeeelllloooooo~" You heard someone talking to you amidst your daydreaming.
"Um, OH! Sorry, Nat I was just thinking. What did you need again?" she rolled her eyes knowing exactly what your problem was.
"I said," she sighed "take these papers to Clint, you two need to go over them for the next mission. Now, go before I hit you with them" she grumbled tossing them lazily at you causing you to stumble to catch them.
You rolled your eyes at the back of your very temperamental friend, she could really learn to take a chill pill some days. Picking up the few files that fell you managed to put everything back in order quickly before heading towards the one spot you knew Clint would be. You loved having these missions with Clint, you were more of a close-combat type of fighter and so Clint always had your back from a distance which made fighting with him very easy. Your last mission was with Steve, he was incredibly sweet and always made sure you were alright and it wasn't that you didn't like that. It was the opposite really but you enjoyed getting everything done before the 'are you okay's' which is how Clint works. You made your way towards his nest with the file in your left hand and the other fixing your hair as best you could. You weren't the best at keeping calm around him, he teased you for it but you enjoyed it in a weird way because you felt like all of his attention was on you.
You made it to the last door that lead to the nest, you were currently in your own world until the voices you heard on the other side broke you from your thoughts.
"You need to tell her, I mean how long has it been since the two of you have been friends? Years right?" A voice you could easily recognize as Tony's made you roll your eyes immediately because he is such a lying ass sometimes.
"Would you just leave me alone about it already!" that was Clint's voice and you took that as your cue to walk in and interrupt whatever it was they were fussing over.
"Hey Clint!" you smiled warmly waving slightly as you came up to where he and Tony were.
"Hey there, Sweetie" Tony grinned and you scowled, it wasn't like you hated him per-say but you really didn't like all of his flirting while he had a girlfriend.
"Go away Tony, I have to talk to him about work. What are you doing down here anyways, isn't your business upstairs with Dr. Banner?" you scolded him and he placed his large hand on his chest as if you had wounded him.
