You paced your room, it wasn't until now that you realized what had happened. It wasn't until now that you realized your heart made a decision for you and there's no turning back now. You were in love with a man on the run, a man who was wanted by every government official known and now you were stuck in the middle.

Almost a year ago today you were leaving your favorite hobby, a JuJutsu class that was offered three times a week. It was just something to do when you weren't working and something you enjoyed you never expected to need to use what you'd learned there. You picked up things very quickly and not only was that a good thing it saved your life once but that's another story. You left that class and your life was turned on its head.

"Bye!" You called out to the few friends you'd made in the class and headed out into the streets making your way home with no real worries in mind.

You walked in the always busy streets of New York until you finally made it towards your last block to get home. Sure it was a long walk but it was a lot faster then trying to navigate traffic here. You had taken the chance to look around when you noticed a large form crouched down next to some trash and old cardboard boxes. From where you were there wasn't any distinguishing features or any way to tell if it was a man or woman, how old or really anything about the person. All you knew was they looked to be hiding and against your better judgement and going with your kindness you approached.

"Excuse me?" He lunged at you, knife in his hands and you defended yourself by disarming him and putting him in a headlock which he broke out of easily.

"I only wanted to know if you were alright but fine I'll be out of your hair in a minute! Asshole!" You sneered stepping away from the man who looked a mess. He had dirt and mud stuck to his skin and hair with dark dead eyes that stared through you.

"No, wait. . ." He mumbled looking down at his feet as if suddenly he was a shy child.

"What?" You snapped turning back towards him which was your down falling now that you look back on the incident.

"I need some help, please? Any help at all." He begged and finally looked up at you his blue eyes pleading for you to help him.

"I don't. . ." You let out a begrudged sigh and motioned for him to follow you.

The whole way home you could recall asking yourself over and over again what the hell you were doing and why they hell were you helping the man. A man that tried to stab you but try as you might you couldn't figure out why you suddenly had a change of heart and you still don't understand what happened.

Making it to your home was rather easy but he made it ten times worse by having to stop along the way in the alleys and between buildings to hide for some reason you had yet to find out. You let him have his way though, moving on when he became comfortable again and stopping when he needed to do so. The ten minute walk turned into a thirty minute journey but you were finally safe inside your home.

"Look, um, I think I might have some spare clothes that you can change into. My dad left some clothes, well my mom did too but that's neither here nor there but, anyways. You can come into the bathroom with me and I'll bring you the clothes so you can get cleaned up some." You motioned for him to follow you and reluctantly he did.
