You were rather close to your brother, being the only family the either of you had ever known. He's taught you how to fight and you taught him how to pick locks. A trick you learned when you were younger. Neither of you had a great life but now you do, he works a good job and you've been searching for one.

"How's the job hunt going?" he asked sitting down with you to eat some dinner.

"I'd have better luck robbing the bank downtown at noon than this." You grumbled taking a huge bite from the biscuit in your hand, shrugging your shoulders.

You two spent a long time talking. You shared with him how you hated wondering the city for work and how fruitless it has been. Sitting in your room you were quietly staring outside through the window. The nights were like a completely different world, one full of wondrous colours and people passing by talking an laughing. You've never been out like these people are, never had the chance to experience that sort of lifestyle.

You decided, against your better judgement and common sense that in the morning while your brother was working you would check out parts of the city you've never seen. You wanted to explore and see everything this place had to offer, good or bad, you were just curious. With that decision made you were now way too excited to sleep so you spent the night tossing and turning.

When morning came and your brother left you dressed and headed the opposite way that you usually did. You headed more towards the outer parts and around some bad neighborhoods but nothing exciting happened. It wasn't exciting time you had hoped for but you kept wondering, slowly making it back into the main city. Back to the normal route you had learned a long time ago.

"Excuse me, Miss?" You turned towards the man that had seemingly called out to you.

"Me?" you pointed towards yourself, not believing your eyes at the man asking for you.

"Yes, you dropped this." He handed you back the only money you had with you, it must have fallen out while you were maneuvering through the crowded streets.

"Thanks! Hey, um, I feel like I know you from somewhere. What's your name? I don't mean to seem rude!" You laughed nervously as you hastily added the last part.

"I'm, Clark Kent." You told him your name and ended up in a conversation that lead the two of you towards an outdoor cafe.

"This was fun, um, if you're no busy I'd like to do this again." He flashed a spectacular grin and handed you his number written down on a napkin.

"Sure!" you handed him your own with a smile on your face and a blush on your cheeks.

The more time that had passed the closer the two of you became. You couldn't believe it, you had become friends with Superman! You laughed and lay on your bed, your mind going off into a daydream. Your thoughts were interrupted by a small clink on your window, followed by two more before you finally got up to see what it was.

"Clark, what are you doing here this late?" You said in a loud whisper after opening your window and sticking your head out.

"Come on, I wanted to show you something!" All he had to do was flash you that grin and you were climbing out of your window.

He grabbed your hand and the two of you walked towards the colourful city, your eyes took in everything. It was something you had never seen, never done and so you wanted to remember it all. You two walked through the city towards Central Park, a place you had only ever seen in the daylight.

"Look" he pointed towards the inner city, the lights dancing through the couple of trees that surrounded the area.

"Pretty, hunh?" you nodded, clearly the excitement had stolen your ability to speak properly.

"Hey, um," he was nervous and had a firm grip on your hand that made you look at him "Would you like to go out with me? I mean I know we've only just met but I really enjoy your company and would love to do this more often."

"Y-yes, of course!" you were surprised that you were able to respond but you did and threw yourself at him.

You placed a hand on his cheek glancing briefly down at his lips before placing yours on them. It was a soft kiss at first but then turned into a strong and passionate one. Your meeting him was by chance and this was completely unexpected!
