42. Love and War

You are hanging out your friends, Mark Tuan and Nam Joo Hyuk. You guys are at a restaurant, talking and laughing, having a good time.

"____," smiled Joo-hyuk. "Tomorrow is your birthday. I have a surprised for you."

"Really?" you smiled.

"But sadly i have to film tomorrow, so I want to give it to you today." He reached into his inside jacket pocket by his heart and pulled out a little box. He opened the box and inside was a little heart shaped necklace.

"Wau!" I cried.

"Happy early birthday." He got up and walked around the table to get to you. He stood behind you and put on the necklace for you.

You looked down at it and then looked at Joo-hyuk who sat back down next to Mark.

"Do you like it?"

"I do."

Mark wasn't happy, but you didn't noticed. You were too busy having a good time, laughing with Joo-hyuk.

"Oppa," you finally said to Mark.

He looked up at you.

"Joo-hyuk oppa have to work tomorrow. How bout you?"

"I don't have anything to do tomorrow."

You smiled. "Then let's hang out!"

"What do you want to do?"

"Teach me how to dance! I really want to learn the dance to your new song. It looks fun."

"You know, I can teach you how to dance too," said Joo-hyuk. "I had to learn for the drama I was playing in."

"But i can teach you how to do flips," said Mark.

"I can teach you how to slow dance," said Joo-hyuk, knowing Mark doesn't know how.

"I can  teach you how to..." Mark got nothing and you didn't catch on that they were trying to out beat each other.

"Oh! We still have some time left!" you said. "How about we go to the aquarium!?"

Mark smiled. "You really live to go there, don't you. You're always asking one of us to take you there."

"Because it's beautiful there."

"Then let's go."

We got into Joo-hyuk's car. You sat in the front seat, next to Joo-hyuk while Mark sat behind you. When you guys got there, you started to get excited, looking at all the sea creatures. Joo-hyuk decided to take out his phone and take a selfie and captioned it with "Having fun with ____!"

Mark took out his phone and took a selfie with you, captioning it, "Bringing her to the world she love best."

You continued to look at the world of sea creatures. Mark and Joo-hyuk took turns pushing each other to get to you. They were being childish, and as clueless as you are around guys, you didn't notice the war between them.

When you went to the bathroom, you left Joo-hyuk and Mark alone.

"I know what you're trying to do," Joo-hyuk said to Mark. "You can have her! ____ may not be a singer, but she is an actress under JYP Entertainment! Same as you! That means you guys are not allowed to be with each other!"

"I don't care!" argued Mark. "I love her and I'm willing to risk my career for her!"

"So you're risking what she loves too? You know she loves to act. You're just going to take that away from her? I can make her happy and I can give her things you can't. And most importantly, I can be with her, without her having to lose something!"

"I love ____."

"So do I!"

"You guys what?" you asked as you walked out of the bathroom and heard their confessions.

They turned to you, surprised to see you out already and heard that.

"____!" said Joo-hyuk.

"Did you heard everything?" asked Mark.

"What's everything?" you asked. "You guys love me? Well I love you guys too."

"_____-" Before Mark could say anything else, Joo-hyuk interrupted.

"I love you," he said.

"I love you guys too," you said again.

"No! ____, I love you. I want to be with you. I want to take care of you."

"Like love as in... love?"

"Yes," said Mark. "I want to be by your side and tell the world you're mine."

"Both of your guys!? But... I love the both of you. But just as brothers and sister relationship. You guys are amazing, but I'm only 18. I still want to live my life. I'm not ready for love. I don't even know what that is. The only time i feel love is when I am eating a delicious slice of pizza. That's what i love."

You walked away, a little tear fell from your eyes. Truth is, you're afraid to love either one of them because you love both and don't want to hurt the other.
