"____..."
"I can't anymore," you said as you grabbed your suitcase, ready to leave the house.
Mark grabbed your arm. "Please don't... Don't go."
"Mark! We've been arguing nonstop lately. What do you that means!?"
"Give me another chance. I know we can work it out somehow."
"You don't do it, so I will. I'm going to be the first one to say goodbye." You pulled your arms away and continued to walk out the door, rolling your suitcase with you.
Mark ran after you. "____!" He once again grabbed your arm. "Don't go. Don't leave me. How am I suppose to live without you? I need you. I love you. I love more than life."
"This isn't going to work, Mark." Tears started falling down your cheeks. "I've seen this before. It never works out."
"What? From your parents? We're not your parents. We're nothing like them! We can make this work!"
"You've seen it Mark. My parents argue so much to the point that they hate each other. If we keep arguing like this, we are going to end up hating each other too."
"I can never hate you." He placed both hand side of your cheeks. "I love you no matter what. Don't leave me. Let's work it out. I don't want to fight any more." He leaned in and gently kissed you.
You closed your eyes, feeling his soft, loving touch.
"Don't cry anymore." He wiped away my tears. He grabbed your suitcase and the other hand, he held your hand. "Let's go back in." He gently pulled you inside. He placed you suitcase by the stairs and walked you into the living room. He sat you down and walked into the kitchen. He returned with a cup of ice cold water. He handed it to you and you slowly drank it. He sat down beside you. "Are you okay now?"
You nodded, not being able to look at him because you know what you had planned which was to leave, would get ruin. Mark took the cup from your hand and placed it on the coffee table. He wrapped his arms around you.
"Please," said Mark, his voice shaking. "Don't say you'll leave me again. I don't want to leave you and I don't want you to leave me. I love you so much and I know we have been arguing a lot lately, but it's just a phrase. It will be over and we will go back to normal. I promise. So don't say goodbye."
You moved back a little to look at Mark's worried face. You love him. You love him more than anything. "I don't want to leave you."
"Good." He pulled you in for another hug. "Don't leave me."
You hugged him back, tighter. "I don't want to leave you!"
He smiled. "Yes. Don't leave me. Stay by my side and don't leave me."
