79. Joining the Family

You visited Mark's family in LA. You came back to the States from Korea and thought instead of going straight home in the east coast, you decided to visit Mark's family in the West.

Mark's family welcomed you with open arms, the way they always do.

"It's good to see you again ____," said his eldest sister, Tammy.

"Great to see you too," I smiled. You see Mark's parents, Tammy, and Grace, but Joey was no where in sight. "Where's Joey?"

"He's at the park with the kids," said Grace.

"You should go suprise them," said Tammy. "The girls will me so happy to see you."

"And Joey too," Mr. Tuan.

"Yes!" said Mrs. Tuan excitingly. "Go see Joey!"

You and Mark became close friends through mutual friends--Eric Nam, Amber, and Peniel. Mark introduced you to his family and invited you over so many times to the point that it feels like you are already part of the family.

Mark's mom seems to favor you and want you to be her daughter-in-law. That means marrying Mark or Joey. You like her determination to get you to date Mark or Joey, but you're just not ready to date. You want to enjoy life as it is.

You walked to the park to see Joey pushing Tammy's daughters on the swings. You hear them laughing from the distance. You got closer to them. The girls saw you walk behind Joey and got excited. Before Joey could turn around, you jumped onto his back.

"____!?" he said as he struggled to keep balance. "Is that you!?"

"Missed me?" you smiled.

"Of course!"

You got off his back and hugged him from the front. I missed you too." You turned to the girls who came running to you. "And I miss my little princesses too."

The girls asked for Mark.

"Sorry, but Mark won't be here until July. He has work. I'm on break so I decided to come see my favorite princesses. How about we all go get some ice cream?"

The girls cheered excitingly. They hold each other hands and each grabbed either my hand or Joey's hand. The four of you walked hand in hand to a nearby ice cream shop.

After ordering ice cream, the four of you sat outside. Joey pulled out his phone to take a selfie with all of you. Without you knowing, he sent it Mark.

Mark called you and you answered, walking away from the table.

"Mark?" you said through the phone?"

"Where are you?" asked Mark.

"I'm having ice cream with the Joey and the girls. Why?"

"You're on a date with my brother!?"

"What!?"

"He just sent me a picture!"
