93. Double Date

You went out with you friend, Sara and her boyfriend, V for dinner. It was a fancy restaurant so you dressed up. You sat across your best friend while next to her sat her boyfriend. This was the second time being a third wheeler, but the three of you are fine hanging out together. Getting to know her boyfriend is fun.

"____, I have to tell you something," said Sara. "I know you wish you were back in Korea and I know you miss your friends there, so..."

You felt a sudden hand on your shoulder. You turned around, surprised to see Mark Tuan standing there. You got up from your seat as you looked at Mark. "M-Mark?"

He smiled. "It's been a year."

"Mark!" You wrapped your hands around his neck and pulled him in for a hug. "I can't believe you're actually here!"

"I got a couple days off and your friend contacted me."

You turned to Sara. "Thank you so much!" You hugged your best friend.

You and Mark sat down with Sara and her boyfriend as the four of you ate dinner. The four of you laughed as your friend and her boyfriend got to know Mark a little more.

After dinner, the four of you decided to walk along the river, taking pictures.

"Here, let me take a picture of you two," Sara said to you and Mark.

"Let's go!" you said as you grabbed Mark's hand. The two of you stood by the river. "Wait! Can you take a picture on us on Mark's phone too? It will come out better." You grabbed Mark's phone and pressed the home button. The phone turned on and you were surprised to see you picture of you playing the guitar. You don't even remember taking this picture which means Mark took it secretly. You looked at Mark.

Mark quickly grabbed the phone from your hand.

"Mark?"

"I-I can explain!" You waited for an explanation but it seems the words Mark wanted to say wouldn't come out. "I-I have your p-picture on m-my phone... as my lock screen because... I-I..."

"Spill it Mark!" said Sara.

"____, I came back back to the States, not because I'm on my break. I came back for you. We've known each other for two years and... every moment I spent with you, are always my favorite part of life. I like you and.-"

You interrupted him with a kiss him on the lips. "Gosh! What took you so long?"

"W-What?"

"I like you too Mark."

"R-Really? I mean...! Yes? What?"

You laughed. "I like you too." You kissed Mark again.

Your friend Sara clapped and fan girl while her boyfriend stood there smiling. You looked at Sara and then back at Mark.

"Wait," said Mark. "S-So does this mean we're... dating? Or not... I don't know!"

"Well, let's think about it. You said you liked me. I said I liked you. I kissed you. You kissed back. Yeah! I think we're dating." You smiled as he smiled back.

"You guys are a weird couple," said Sara. "Who ask someone out like that?"

"Hey! They got their own way," said V. "It suits them."

You smiled at Mark. "That picture on your phone. That was the first time we met each other."

"And I've liked you since the first time we met," smiled Mark.

"Wow! Idiot. What took so long?"

"I...I don't know. I was... I was afraid you wouldn't feel the same way."

"Well, not you know. I feel the same way."

"Yeah," he smiled as he pressed his forehead against yours.
