52. College Stress

You were video chatting with Mark at 1 in the morning while it's around 2PM in South Korea. Because you have been going through a lot your first week if college, you needed to talk to your boyfriend, no matter how late it is for you.

"____, are you okay?" asked Mark, worried.

"I miss you," you said.

"I miss you too. Where are you now? It's not your dorm room, is it?"

"No. It's 1 am. They are asleep. I'm in the lounge by myself."

"What's going on?"

"My roommates are not getting along with my friends. It hurts me and I don't know what to do. I miss you and I wish you were here."

"I know. I wish I was with you too."

"It's 2 in the afternoon there, right?"

Mark looked at the time on his phone. "Yeah. I just got done pratice."

"That must be nice. It's Saturday tomorrow and I really want to get away, but I know no where to go."

Mark let out a little laugh. "That's because you have no sense of direction. You go out, you will get lost."

"Not all of the time!" you protested. You suddenly had tears falling from your eyes and Mark started to become worried.

"____!" he said.

"I'm sorry," you said as you wiped your tears. "I don't know why I'm crying."

"It's okay. Let it out. I'm here for you."

There was a sudden knock on the door. You thought someone forgot their keys, so you walked out and opened the door. You were more than suprised to see Mark standing there with a huge smile across his face.

"Mark!?" you cried. You ran completely out and wrapped your arms around him. "Mark!"

"Suprise," he smiled.

"You're here!"

He took your hand and pulled you into a car. He then went around and got into the driver's seat. He started driving to who knows where and stopped in front of a huge river. You could see the city lights on the other side of the river and everything was nice a quiet.

Mar got out of the car and opened the door for you. You got out.

"Told you I was here for you," smiled Mark.

You ran into his arms and started crying as he comfort you.

"Cry it all out. I'm here, so you can cry all you want."

You felt so lucky to have a boyfriend like Mark. He is so gentle towards you and you can't help but be happy when you're with him.

"I wish I can stay with you forever," you said.

"You have to finish four years of college first," he answered. "Then we can be together forever. For now, just wait."

You didn't say a word as you looked our at the river.

"Are you tired? You must be. It's 2AM."

"A little."

He grabbed your hand and pulled you into the back seat of the car. He then went on the other side and sat down next to you. He had you placed your head on his shoulder. You soon feel asleep on his shoulder peacefully.

The next morning, you woke up to sleeping on Mark's shoulder who is still asleep. His hands was on yours and he looked so peaceful.

You couldn't help yourself. You leaned in and kissed him gently.

Mark woke up and smiled. "Good morning."

"Good morning," you smiled.

He pulled you down and cuddled with you. "Let's sleep a little longer."

"I should head back to campus. My two roommates might be wondering where I went."

"Who cares? Let's just be together a little longer. I really missed you. Being far from each other is so hard."

"I know."

"I wish you can come to Korea with me."

"Trust me. I wish I can too, but I need to be here and graduate."

"Cuddling like this is good enough for now. After you're done college, I can have you all to myself." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a ring. He then placed it on my ring finger. "I love you."

"Mark!" you said, looking at him suprised. "A ring!?"

"It's to show people you're mine and that one day we will get marry a s live happily ever after. You won't have to wry about roommates and school. You'll be sucessful and happy. I'll make sure of it."

"Mark," you smiled.

He leaned in and gently kissed you."I love you."
