"Ah—shit, watch where...you're going... will...you?"

Wonwoo's words trailed off. His fingers curled into his palms subconsciously at the sight of the person he'd just bumped into.

"Damn... did that shove just knock the sanity out of me?" Wonwoo muttered, still sitting on the floor after falling over. His things all sprawled beside him, forgotten, as he held the gaze of the man who had also landed on his butt as well.

"What... the..." the man said to himself, equally stunned. His hand reached for Wonwoo's face. Wonwoo stayed still, oddly waiting for the almost hesitant touch.

"You... you look exactly like me," said the stranger, who ironically looked more like a mirror. His fingers traced along Wonwoo's features. From his eyebrows, down his cheeks and nose, then to the corner of his lips.

Wonwoo could only remain still. Seeing someone with the exact same face staring back at him, touching him like this, was messing with his head in more ways than he could comprehend.

"Shit... am I dead?" Wonwoo whispered.

The stranger chuckled softly, pulling his hand back. He stood up, dusted off his pants, and helped gather Wonwoo's things before extending a hand toward him.

"I don't think a shove like that can kill you, mate." He wiggled his fingers, waiting for Wonwoo to take his hand. When Wonwoo finally did, the stranger pulled him up easily.

For a moment, the two stood there, still holding hands, eyes locked on one another.

"Hi, I'm Jaehyun. Nice to meet you."

Jaehyun shook Wonwoo's limp hand while Wonwoo gaped at him.

"I'm... uh, Wonwoo. Nice meeting you too."

They let go of each other as Jaehyun handed back his things. Wonwoo tried his best not to unravel further, stealing glances at the well-dressed version of himself. The man was decked out in designer brands, casually whistling by his side.

When Wonwoo finally finished shoving his belongings back into his bag, he cleared his throat, ready to bolt. This had to be a bad omen, he thought. There was no way this person was human — maybe a doppelgänger, the kind that would come after him to replace him. At least, that's how the stories went.

"So, uh... I better get going then. I still have a part-time job to get to," Wonwoo muttered, stepping back and bowing quickly before turning to leave.

But before he could take a step, a firm tug on his shirt pulled him back, making him stumble slightly. His hands clutched the straps of his bag as he turned around.

"Wait!" Jaehyun yelled, a grin still plastered on his face as he met Wonwoo's eyes again. "Can't we talk for just a sec?"

"I still have work, though," Wonwoo reasoned, his hand tugging at Jaehyun's grip until the hem of his shirt came loose and crumpled in the process.

"I can fix that," Jaehyun said with an easy smile.

"You called someone to fill in for me?"

"Yeah. It was the only way for you to stay, right?"

"...Yeah... right..."

Jaehyun had somehow dragged Wonwoo into a nearby café. He wore a cap and a mask to avoid any stares from people who might catch a glimpse of their table. The fascination with twins was always a thing, and even with half his face hidden, curious eyes still lingered.

It didn't help that Wonwoo's face was completely visible, or that the two of them shared the same sharp features and tall build, even beneath their modest clothes. People couldn't help but wonder if they were celebrities sneaking in for a quick break.
