New's condo was clean and cozy with white and grey tones. Everything was perfectly functional, and it didn't take long for Tay and Kao to freshen up and settle in.

"Maybe we should use the second bedroom," Kao wondered, sitting on the edge of the bed... "This is the master bedroom."

"It's fine, If New is someone who would mind things like these, he wouldn't have offered us to stay here, stop worrying and come lie down, you look very tired."

Kao finished the remaining boba drink in his hand and settled in Tay's embrace. Tay proceeded to properly cover him with the blanket.

They both shut their tired eyes in the comfort of each other, but silence only lasted a few moments... "How long do I have?" Kao's question was wet.

"Uhhh?" Tay's confused tone responded before he opened his eyes.

"You like New, don't you?" Kao questioned. Tay remained silent.

"So, I am asking how long do I have with you? How long before you bring up the B word?"

"Kao" Tay pulled Kao closer... "Can we not talk about it tonight? We have each other right now, don't we?"

Tears welled up in Kao's eyes, he blinked, trying to push them back rapidly... "Just, just tell me how long, I won't ask anything else."

"I... I don't know, I don't even know what I want, but for now, I don't have anything else on my mind but you. I only want to make sure you rest well so that you won't be tired anymore." He ran a finger around Kao's eyes.... "These dark circles, I don't like them at all, they are ruining this beautiful face, I need them gone. And honestly, the thought of breaking up with you hasn't crossed my mind, not even once, ever." He pecked Kao's forehead.

Kao nodded and hugged Tay back, understanding him, tightening his grip, making it clear that he wouldn't let Tay go. Tay smiled at his possessiveness and pulled Kao for a kiss, the familiar feeling of each other's touch that was lost for months surfaced in them. The kiss was not deep or light, it was just passionate enough to assure each other of their love. It was not hurried or slow, it was just fast enough to comfort each other about their relationship. And it was long, they kept kissing like that for so long that they were still kissing while asleep. Their tired bodies and minds in denial welcomed rest.

Kao slept well after a long time. He is generally a deep sleeper, and resting after such a tiring day made him sleep like a log. He didn't move the whole night, resting in Tay's embrace. It was late in the morning when Tay's sleep broke, but he didn't move, not to disturb Kao, he was more than happy to stay there listening to Kao's low snore. Tay always found it funny and adorable. And there was no denying that he missed it a lot. New was an early riser,  he would leave bed before Tay even woke up. So waking up to the soothing sound of snooring made Tay smile. His conscience couldn't let him ignore New, though. Because it was also true that he got used to waking up in an empty bed, and to brewing coffee. He slowly reached out for his phone and texted New, all while enjoying Kao's weight on him... "Good Morning!!! Missing the smell of Coffee"

New read the message but didn't reply. Tay felt like he didn't have any right to be disappointed. The smile on his face disappeared, and he put the phone away. He fell into thought, only Kao's heavy breathing accompanying him.

It was almost evening by the time Kao woke up. Tay had fallen in and out of sleep multiple times, but he neither woke up Kao nor got out of bed.

"Ummm.... What's the time?" Kao asked, stretching himself.

Tay chuckled... "Almost 5"

"In the evening?" Kao exclaimed.

Tay nodded, pinching one of Kao's buffed cheeks.... "Now this is how it should be, You look way better with cheeks."
