Just then, a couple of cars drove up to them and came to a stop. A valet came out of Tay's car from earlier and handed him the keys. The driver from the second car also walked upto Tay and exchanged the keys.

"Well then, I will take your silence as a Yes," Tay calmly declared to seething New. New's eyes went wide at him, but he couldn't say anything.

"Good," Tay continued... "This is P'Ting. He will take you wherever you want. Go out for lunch as you have planned with Chokun and Auston, or do whatever else you want to do, he will be with you the whole day. I have to head to the hospital for a while. I will join you guys as soon as I am done."

"We can find our own transportation," New threw back.

"I know you can, but this way I will be assured that you guys are safe and taken care of, you know how difficult it is to get a cab in this city." Tay paused and gauged New's expression... "Also, kids are tired and jet-lagged. Let's not make them suffer, shall we?"

New looked at his brother's faces, who were pleading and sighed... "Then I want to drive. Only then will I feel safe."

"P'Ting is a veteran driver, you can trust him."

"Why don't you take him with you then? He can keep you safe."

Tay took a deep breath... "Okay, but if you get tired or don't want to drive anymore, you should immediately let P'Ting take over, fine?"

New just extended his hand for the keys... "I will just take this as another charitable act from you."

P'Ting politely handed over the keys and took the shotgun. Tay watched as everyone settled in, and New immediately sped away. He felt an uncomfortable weight land on his chest, but he forced himself to drag his legs towards his car.

New on the other hand stopped the car as soon as they were out of Tay's sight and turned to P'Ting... "Sorry P', That was really rude of me." He apologised.

P'Ting immediately shook his head... "No, there is no need for you to apologise."

"I just wanted to spite Tay, but I know you are feeling uncomfortable in the shotgun, you can take over the driving."

P'Ting's eyes went wide... "Are you sure?"

"Ofcourse" New gave him the smallest smile and got out of the car to switch places, and P'Ting gladly took the steering wheel.

"Haan, I knew our Hia New can never be that heartless," Chokun cheered, and Auston smiled.

"So, where to first?" P'Ting enquired.

"Home P', I will give you the directions." New started.

"But Hia..." Chokun interrupted with a sad face.

"Hia, it's too late to go home and cook now, let's just eat out. Please Hia," Auston added. New glared at him, making him fall silent.

But Chokun didn't get the hint... "Hia, we just came back, and I have been craving Thai food for so long. Please let's go eat at Aunt Kua's. After that, I swear I will be a good boy and listen to you."

"Chokun, it takes 2 hours to even get there, and with this traffic, we'd better get home and cook."

Before New could say anything, P'Ting interfered... "You all look pretty tired. Why don't you relax back and give me the address? I will get you there comfortably. "

"Wow, P', that is such a great idea," Chokun jumped, ignoring New's signals and gave P'Ting the address. As he started heading to their favourite restaurant, New felt defeated and fell back.
