Last Chance - 4

"I hate you!!" New repeated. A smile spread on Tay's lips as he soothed New's back.

"You were such a strategist. You came to me when I was alone and needy, you made me forget how pathetic my life was, you made me want to kiss you, but insisted on only hugging me to sleep. You made me breakfast and now you wouldn't leave when I ask you to, I hate you with all my heart!" New's voice was choking as he spoke.

"You can hate me as much as you want," Tay murmured.... "Just do what your heart wants, stop holding back."

Those words broke the dam in New's eyes, and he cried out loud, shivering in Tay's embrace. The more New cried, the more he wanted to keep crying, it felt like all the chains he ever bound himself with were being loosened, and Tay was more than happy to stand there silently, just simply holding the wheeping New.  

Once New calmed down a bit Tay helped him wipe his tears and New asked sniffling... "You said you work at the hospital but I never saw you treating grand Pa, What is your specialisation?"

Tay chuckled... "Finally, you are curious about me, I thought you would never ask,"

"So?"

"I am not a doctor,"

New made a confused face on his red face that was just crying, and he was too cute that Tay couldn't handle it, he cupped New's face and kissed his cheek. And before he could go for the second cheek the door to the guest room opened and they instinctively moved away from each other. 

"Hia, Sorry Chokun took too long to decide what to wear, We are ready now, I will book us a ride." Aston pulled his phone out... "Is it still taking hours to get a ride around here though?"

"Well ya, It became worse actually..." New answered after steadying his voice... "But for today Tay offered to drop us, it's on his way to work."

"Oh is it?" it was Chokun who asked with suspicion. 

"Yes, and I also actually want to pay my respects to Grand Pa, So shall we?"

"Let's go!" Aston followed Tay cheerfully while New had to drag Chokun who stood there in doubt. 

"So, I heard you both are childhood friends, How did you become boyfriends? Who fell first?" Tay asked proactively once they were on the road. 

"Oh, P, Isn't it clear as day that it was me, Do you think Cho would ever say it was him even it was indeed him."

"So I am guessing you were the one who confessed first too, I can't imagine you being all nervous and doubtful with that joyful personality of yours."

"You have no idea P, I was so nervous I couldn't sleep for weeks, Even after telling him I want to follow him abroad and study medicine with him, he was so damn clueless, so I had to muster up my courage and confess shamelessly, even then he only said that he can't get distracted, hmmm though I was his childhood friend, i still had to court and flirt with him for almost six months to make him cave and go on a date with me. That wasn't the end of my struggle, Can you imagine how scared and disappointed I was when he said he would start a relationship with me only if I can get a scholorship in the same university as him. He was ruthless."

Tay looked impressed... "Love made you work hard and have a successful carrer, I would say it's a huge win for you, on top of that you did start the relationship with the person you love, I am jealous."

"Well, yes, I could get into the same college but couldn't secure the scholarship, luckily my parents agreed to pay for my studies, I had to relentlessly follow him around for another year, for him to finally agree to be my boyfriend. Can you imagine how stubborn a person he is P?"
