Pete and Kao arriving at the party hand-in-hand was enough to declare that they were a couple. Everyone, who knew them, who didn't know them, without any exceptions everyone marveled at the couple, few excited people approached them not able to contain their curiosity, and asked all types of questions.

"Are you guys celebrities?"

"How did you two meet? what's your story?"

"When are you planning to get married?"

"You both are such a perfect pair, you must be soulmates"

The questions and compliments didn't stop throughout the night, and so were drinks, they were almost drunk by the time the crowd thinned and they got a chance to talk to Mr.Whiyo alone.

"Thank you for being the life of my party tonight you two" Mr.Whiyo greeted them with a big smile.

"I would say it's because you have surrounded yourself with warm people Mr.Whiyo" Pete greeted him back.... "It didn't feel like we are outsiders at all"

"Oh, just call me Whiyo, I am glad that you didn't feel comfortable with all those questions"

Pete looked at Kao fondly... "I would never be uncomfortable talking about the love of my life", Kao had a satisfied expression on his face.

Whiyo nodded agreeing... "So you are childhood friends turned to lovers?"

"Ya, Pete would always flirt with me and I was never able to tell if he was just teasing or serious until I realized that I won't be able to bear if it's teasing and confessed" Kao sounded pretty convincing

Whiyo had heart eyes as he led them to a table.... " And did Pete immediate accepted your confession?"

Pete turned away feigning guilt and scratched his head and Kao continued answering... "Well, Let's just say he is the hardest nut to crack, I had to cut communication and go MIA before he came to terms with his feelings and accepted mine"

Their made-up story and pitch-perfect acting were working charms on Mr.Whiyo. He ordered his staff to open his age-old and treasured wine for them.

As the glasses of wine were brought over to their table, he passed them on to Pete and Kao... "I kind of don't want to offer you this drink after hearing that Pete, But you appear to be head over heels for Kao now and seem like you have redeemed yourself, so I will give you a pass" Everyone laughed hearing that and clinked their glasses.

As the laughter subsided Pete turned to Kao and held his gaze... "I am sorry again Love, I don't even remember why I acted like that when I couldn't even breathe normally without you"

Kao who was also completely in character squeezed Pete's hand nodding... "It's long back Pete, You don't have anything to be sorry about, I know that you love me more"

Everyone kept adoring as they exchanged loving words.

"That's so sweet, I wish you both stay together forever and live a long happy life" Mr.Whiyo blessed them wholeheartedly, and both of them accepted his blessings and thanked him before slowly luring him into business talks.

Overall the night went as planned and was a success, but by the end, both of them were too drunk to even walk properly.

"Oh my, You guys are drunk, Can you all even manage to get to your accommodation?" Mr.Whiyo asked concerned when he saw Kao slip and held on to Pete, while Pete was bearly managing to stand up.

Pete didn't respond but Kao smiled sheepishly... "Hehe... Don't worry Mr.Whiyo, I have Pete"

Pete nodded looking at Earth and staggering.
