Chapter 16
Jillian’s POV
My eyes are still sagging but I did try my best to open them up. After extending my limbs and muscles to their full extent, I immediately looked for the clock and I practically lost my mind when I found out that it’s already 11 in the morning. Oh geez!
I instantaneously stood up and made my dash to the comfort room. Habang nagsisipilyo ako, naalala ko na naman ang mga nangyari kagabi. Gawd! Kulang na lang magpalapa ako sa dinosaur sa kinatatayuan ko nang sabihin yun ni Ma’am. It’s like putting myself out of the frying pan into the fire. Fate is awesome, big time. Tss. Ugh, my head’s a terrible place now.
Tinapos ko pa ‘yung VVIP Night kaya puyat na puyat ako. Si Ran naman, umalis na kaagad. He left us without turning a hair. That antisocial guy is really getting into my nerves without him trying.
I heaved out an exasperated sigh after I finished my morning ritual. Lumabas ako ng banyo at nag-ipit ng buhok.
It’s almost lunch yet I’m still sleepy. Siguro nasobrahan ako kagabi. Hindi naman kasi ako sanay na nagpupuyat, unless nagbabasa ako ng libro or nanunuod ako ng movie o di kaya mina-marathon ko ang favorite TV Series ko na The Vampire Diaries.
Sumandal ako sa couch at pumikit sandali when suddenly I feel like anytime this mini nap is going to take me somewhere farther so I stood up. Papunta na sana ako sa kuwarto ko but then I heard this annoying doorbell.
A nuisance it is. I ignored it at first, thinking that that person will just disappear in any sec. I moved some more but it rang again. Ugh. Pinilit kong lumapit papunta sa pintuan kahit alam kong labag ito sa kalooban ko.
When I opened the door, I saw his blasé expression. “Tagal oh,” reklamo niya nang makita niya ako.
Tss. Anong ginagawa ng halimaw na to dito? “Anong meron?” tanong ko sa kaniya. Wala naman talagang dahilan para magpunta siya sa amin, right? So I’m really confused now.
“Wala, gusto ko lang magpunta. Masama ba?” He replied nonchalantly and made his way to the living room.
Wow. Look how this excuse of a man acts. Hindi ko pa nga siya pinapapasok but he already entered. Wow, ang galing! Tss.
Sinarado ko ang pintuan at sinundan ko siya sa loob. He immediately found his place. Magana niyang itinaas ang kaniyang paa at ipinatong sa may couch. Hindi ako tumabi sa kaniya but instead pumasok ako sa kwarto ko.
“Duck, help yourself out. I’m still sleepy,” I told him before closing the door.
Tumayo agad siya at pinigilan ako bago ko pa man maisarado ang pintuan. “What are you doing?” I asked him trying to close it.
“Don’t sleep. May bisita ka tapos tutulugan mo lang? Tss.”
“What? You? Bisita? Oh come on.” I rolled my eyes. Binitawan ko ang door knob at dumiretso sa kama ko. Humiga ako at yinakap si Bear na stuff toy. Hmm. Ang sarap. Tulog. Hmm. “Aray!” I hollered. He’s pulling me. Huhu.
