Chapter 34: Surprises

Jonathan's POV

Two months later...

"Wake up now, Nina. You've been sleeping for two months. Time to wake up. You missed a lot of things already."

I was holding her hand while watching her sleep peacefully. She looked so beautiful.

I could not wait for her to wake up. The doctor said that she's making a progress so I hoped that she would be awake sooner. I could not wait to talk to her again.

I had been sleeping here in the hospital since that day I brought her here. This had become my house for two months. I would only go home if I really needed to or to get some clothes. I barely left this place. I even work from here. I brought my laptop here and I would ask my secretary to come whenever I wanted her to do something.

As for the mafia, everything was going well so far. My father took over my position because he knew that I wanted to be here beside Nina until she recovered.

"I have a lot to tell you. Don't be stubborn and please wake up. I can't stand seeing you laying down on this bed while looking so fragile. Please, Nina. Wake up..."

I sighed after saying those words because I was not sure if she could hear me.

I kissed her hand before leaning forward to rest my head on the bed while not letting go of her hand. I wanted to take a short nap because I did not sleep well last night.

I was in the middle of my nap when I felt someone touching my face. It must be Tyron. He kept on doing that a lot of times. I remember what happened before when I woke up and lifted my head up as quick as I could thinking that she was the one touching my face and that she was already awake. But to my disappointment, I saw Tyron's face who was laughing at me. I glared at him with what he did.

"Stop it, Tyron," I said in a pissed tone. But after what I said, he didn't seem to understand what I just said because he still kept on touching my face. I decided to lift my head up to scold him but to my surprise, I did not see Tyron. Instead, I saw someone else. I was so shocked and speechless.

"N-Nathan," she said in a low voice while smiling at me lightly. My mouth parted open when I heard her voice calling my name. I almost cried in delight.

"N-Nina?" I stuttered. Her eyes blinked for a few times before nodding her head slowly. She's truly awake! I got up and hugged her tightly. I missed her so much.

Nina's POV

Nagulat ako nung nalaman ko mula kay Nathan ang mga nangyari. Dalawang buwan pala akong walang malay.

In fairness, ang sweet-sweet niya lalo ngayon. Sa ilang araw simula nung nagising ako, hindi niya ako hinayaan tumayo mag-isa. Gusto niya ay may kasama ako lagi. Siya din ang sumusubo sa akin pag kumakain ako kahit kaya ko naman.

"Nathan, tama na. Busog na busog na ako oh. Ang laki na ng tiyan ko," reklamo ko sa kanya kasi naman ayaw niya akong tigilan na subuan hanggat hindi ko nauubos ang pagkain na nasa plato.

"Tsk. You did not even eat a lot. And who cares if your belly gets bigger? I don't actually mind it as long as I know that you are healthy."
