Chapter 33: Failed Mission

Jonathan's POV

It's already nine in the evening and Nina just fell asleep. I waited for her to sleep so I could initiate my plan. I let her sleep in my room, so she would not think that I had plans to leave.

I caressed her hair because I knew that it would make her feel sleepy. Now that she's finally asleep, I could quietly go without her noticing it.

This was my fault. I was the one who brought her into this mess, so I took a full responsibility to help her.

Even if she didn't talk about it, I knew that she was kidnapped that time and being blackmailed by someone. To do what? That's what I really wanted to find out.

Tyron gave me the information about what he had gathered. I verified the place and it seemed like it was really the correct one. I needed to verify it because I didn't want to be outsmarted by those morons just like what happened the last time that's why Nina was kidnapped. This time, I also made sure that I doubled the security at home because I didn't want her to leave the house and get kidnapped again.

I kissed her forehead and went out of my room quietly so I could not wake her up.

"Aalis na ba tayo, boss?" I nodded at Tyron. "Kamusta si Nina?"

"She's sleeping. Let's go."

The moment I stepped in the car, we quickly drove away. Tyron parked my yacht in one of the ports that's why we're heading there now.

"Make sure everything is handled and secured," I instructed before I went out of the yacht.

We parked in an area wherein they could not see us. I studied the island before we went, so I knew which area they had less or no security. However, I was aware that they would eventually find out that we intruded in their place.

I grabbed my gun out of my pocket. My men were following behind me. We were very careful not to grab any attention.

The place was so quiet. That was unusual for an enemy's hideout. The island was huge. That moron must be very rich but he was not smart enough to guard this place properly from trespassers.

We were near a big mansion when someone went out from the door and lit up his cigarette. I raised my hand to stop my men.

I pointed my pistol with a silencer toward that man then shoot him. I saw his body collapsed on the ground. I signaled my men to go and they did enter the door. I also went in and to my surprise, there was nobody inside. I thought they were here?!

I turned to Tyron. "Why are they not here?!" I gave him a glare. "I don't want to be fooled by them again!"

"Yes, boss. Sigurado ako na ito yun. Baka konti lang ang nandito. Tingnan natin sa itaas baka nandoon sila."

I took the stairs and headed to the upper house then I saw two men walking towards our direction. They were ready to pull out their gun but I was quick enough to shoot them first. I smirked after.

"Let's all scatter to check the entire place. Make sure to leave no one."

They obliged and quickly made their way to different directions.
