Jessica's POV

"Thanks for staying with me," I thank him.

"It's no problem, Sica." He shakes his head. "You would've been bored without me."

"No, I wouldnt," I cross my arms.

"Really?" He smirks.

"Well - yeah you're probably right," I sigh.

"Of course I am," He proudly says.

"Egotistical much?" I raise an eyebrow. He shrugs and I let out a laugh.

"Let's get out of here," He suggests.

I nod and we leave the nurse's office. We walk out of the school since it's 10 minutes until school ends.

"Let's go to the playground," I say, taking his hand.

We walk to the back of the school and go to playground. It's just some swings, but we call it the playground. There are some picnic tables there also.

I take a seat on one of the swings and Kris takes a seat on the one next to me.

"Why did you stay with me?" I ask, sighing swinging.

"I already told you, I like being with you," He replies.

"Why?"

There's a silence for a few minutes.

"Kris, tell me why."

He scratches the back of his neck. I raise my eyebrow in question.

"Remember when I told you woke up and you were like half asleep?" He asks. I nod.

"Well, you did say some stuff." He says.

"Like what?"

"It's nothing," He shakes his head.

"Well, it must be important if you're making a big deal out of it," I cross my arms.

"I'm not sure if you want to hear it."

"Just tell me, Kris." I sigh.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes! Just tell me!" I exclaim.

"Okay."

"Well?" I ask, tired of these games.

"I like you, Jessica."

"What?" I gasp.

"And you like me."
