Hyoyeon's POV

"Feeling any better?" Kai asks as he settles on the foot of my bed. I nod, rubbing my ankle.

"Still bummed about not being able to dance," I sigh. He nods understandingly.

"Would you like anything?" He asks.

"I would like to dance."

He laughs and shakes his head. "How about we go downstairs and we can watch some TV?"

I nod, waiting for him to pick me up. It's become a regular routine. He's kind of like my caretaker, I guess. He easily lifts me up into his arms and takes me out of the room. I sigh and rest my head on his chest. I feel him stiffen and I lift my head and look up at him.

"You okay?" I ask.

"Hm? Oh, uhm, yeah," He swallows. I raise an eyebrow at his behavior, but shake it off. I rest my head back onto his chest and take in his scent.

We arrive at the living room shortly and he proceeds to put me down.

"Wait."

"What's wrong?" He asks.

"I'm cold. Don't leave me," I reply, snuggling into his arms.

His chest vibrates with laughter and he sits down with me snuggled up in his lap.

"What do you want to watch?" He asks, picking up the remote.

"I don't know. Maybe we could Masked Singer? Chen oppa was on there," I suggest.

"Okay," He nods, pressing the buttons on the remote.

Hm, he smells good, I sigh.

He laughs, "Thank you."

"Omo, did I say that out loud?" I cover my mouth with my hands.

"Maybe, maybe not. Maybe I just read your mind," He laughs again. I roll my eyes and turn my attention to the TV.

"Hey Hyo?"

"Hm?" I turn back towards him.

"How's your ankle?" He asks. I take a glance at my ankle before looking back at him.

"I mean it's sprained, so it still hurts a little," I shrug.

"You want me to make it feel better?"

I raise my eyebrow, "How?"

"With this."

Before I knew it, the air was knocked out of my lungs when he placed his lips on mine. My eyes widened but kissed him back once the shock factor wore off. We pulled apart after a few minutes, which felt like short seconds.

"Better?"

"Definitely," I nod, smiling.

===================================================================

"This all feels so cliche," I groan.

"So you don't?" He asks.

"Oh, I do, it's just it seems like everyone around us is getting into a relationship," I shrug.

"That is pretty true..."

"So, are you suggesting we should wait?" He asks.

"I don't really know, but it just feels, I don't know, weird how everyone started dating," I sigh.

"Well, just because everyone else is dating doesn't mean we can't," He replies.

"I know, it's just really weird."
