Kay's POV:

It has been a little over month since I've seen Hunter face to face... and I miss him like crazy. It is my birthday tomorrow! I will be turning seventeen and I wish Hunter was here to celebrate with me. I understand why he can't be here though, and I know he wish he could be. Even though we aren't in the same state we are really in love and that wasn't going to change. I guess Hunter's lyrics are right... Our love doesn't know what distance is. I've gotten alot of phone calls from Chad and I don't understand why. Um well, I sort of do. Tommorow is not only my birthday, but it also would've been our four year annerversiary. He offered to hang out tonight but turned the invite down, not only because I never wanted to see Chad again, but also because it was almost time for Hunter and I to have a date with FaceTime. Hunter must have read my mind, because a few minutes later my "Wanted " ringtone was playing and it was him. I sat down on my bed and anwsered the phone. His face appeared on the screen. "Hey Sweetheart, how are you?" "I'm great now that I'm talking to you!! I miss you so much!!" "I know Sweetheart, I miss you too! I wish I could be there for your birthday." "I know me too! My mom is letting me take tomorrow off from school because it's my birthday." "Awe! That's awesome. I promise the minute I get a break from touring, my first stop will be to see you. I promise." "Ok. Sounds great to me." I told him with a smile. "I can't believe you are gonna be seventeen and a senior in high shool next year!" "I know! It's crazy! I can't wait." "What have you been up to with your friends?" "Um, not too much. I mean Junior/Senior prom was last weekend... but I didn't go. "Sweetheart, why didn't you go?" "Well, for two reasons. One, Chad asked me to go with him." Hunter's jaw dropped. "Oh my god Sweetie... " "It's ok!" I rejected it! "What's the second reason..." "My boyfriend wasn't there." "You know what, you and I are gonna go and rock that prom next year! I promise Sweetie. No matter what. I'll be there." I giggled. "You are amazing...." I told him. "No. You are." We talked for hours and finally I was ready for bed. "I love you so much Hunter...." "I love you more sweetheart." I blew him a kiss and hung up the phone. I put on Hunter's sweatshirt and my sweatpants and jumped into bed... Quickly falling asleep.

Hunter's POV:

Once I got off the phone with Kay, I jumped into my car and headed to the airport. I didn't tell Kay this, but I was going to her house tonight. I already called her mom Kim and she knows I'm coming and promised not to tell Kay. She was really excited because she knew how happy Kay would be to see me. I got to the airport ... And before I knew it, I was on the plane going to see my girl.

A Few Hours Later:

Hunter's POV:

Once I got to Maine, it was about eleven o'clock. I jumped in my rental car and headed to Kay's house. I figured Kay was asleep, but her Mom said it'd be ok for me to stay in Kay's room with her for when she did wake up. When I got there, I texted Kim to let her know I was there. She let me in and quietly greeted me with a hug. "It's great to see you again Hunter!! Kay will be ecstatic to see you." "I'm so glad you let me stay here Kim. I can't wait to see her!! Well she is probobly sound asleep, but her room is upstairs at the end of the hall. You'll know which room it is. Trust me." She said smiling. We said our good nights and I headed upstairs. Kim was right... As soon as I got upstairs, I knew which room was Kay's, mainly because it had a poster of me on the door. I smiled and quietly opened the door. There she was, lying peacefully in the bed. She was snuggled under the blankets and she was wearing my sweatshirt. "God she is so beautiful..." I thought to myself. I got on my sweatpants and T-shirt. Then I carefully brought back the blankets and crawled in bed next to her. I slowly pulled her towards me, careful not to wake her up. Mission accomplished. I snuggled her in my arms. Having her there again felt so right. "Back the way it should be." I said to myself. I kissed her forehead and drifted off to sleep.
