Chapter 14 - Dan

I woke up I was going to get up to go to the bathroom but I was stopped, in other words I had someone's arm around me then I realised it belonged to Dan, I knew I had to wake him up but I checked to see if anyone else was awake first which resulted into no one so I nudged him awake he started to move and curl away from me which sort of freed me I ran to the bathroom and locked myself in there before anyone could wake up and notice.

I heard a knock on the door then someone said "Bee are you alright?" I cursed under my breath "s**t it's Dan" I then said "I'm fine be out in a moment" I started to make time longer so I could stop the embarrassment and awkwardness I began to brush my teeth and then brush my hair and put it up into a high ponytail. Time to face life and see where it takes me, I unlocked the door peered out to see if the coast was clear only to see Caspar and Joe laying on the floor I carefully stepped over them and what made it more difficult was they were both in awkward positions. I thought of an empty room "Lounge: Deffo not!, Phil's room: Nope since it has our sleeping parents in, My room: Sadly not since the girls are in there, Dan's Room: Hell No!, Kitchen: Nope, Nerd room: don't think so, Sub-apartment aka the secret room: maybe..." I headed to the Sub- apartment room avoiding the fallen bodies on the floor I mean it was that bad Marcus was asleep on the stairs. I slowly opened the door enough that I could peek in, I couldn't see anybody inside saying this only me, Dan and Phil knew about this room I quietly walk in the room and shut the door behind me trying not to make a sound. I suddenly heard something drop behind me I turned around to see Dan stood right behind me, I questioned "what the hell are you doing in here!?" he replied "the only place in the house that has no one in it that is where you'd go so I decided to join you" I then questioned trying not to shout "how did you know I wasn't going to go back to the lounge?" he said "well I know that you can't get back to sleep after you have woken up and I knew you didn't want to wake the others up and since all the other rooms are full of unconscious bodies you came here" I sat down on a desk chair still confused on what is going on.

It was about 12:30 and most people were awake and eating breakfast when we went downstairs, Zoe saw me and she noticed I was a bit shaken she called me over and handed me a bowl of lucky charms I ate a bit but not all of it since I had conclusions going through my head was Dan telling the truth or was he trying to mess with my head? I must have zoned out because I felt Zoe's hand on my shoulder then she asked "Phoebe are you alright?" I said "come to my room I think something is broken after last night" she nodded and followed me. I sat down on my bed I said "Zoe I lied just then because I need to see you alone..." she said sitting next to me "what's wrong Phoebe?" I told her "you cannot tell anyone about what I'm about to tell you..." she nodded and I continued "I think I might have feelings for Dan.." I explained to her what happened at the end of last night and what happened this morning. When I finished Zoe was speechless I felt like crying she said "heyy don't cry we all have feelings and if you like Dan I'm more than happy to accept that I mean come on I'm with Alfie and you know what he is like" We walked out of my room and Zoe headed towards Phil but I stopped her because we were in the hallway and anyone could walk out and listen so Phil suggested we met in his room, we all nodded and went in at different times so no one was suspicious.

Zoe explained my situation to Phil all about last night and what happened this morning, he became shocked but he slowly began to accept it like Zoe did. We heard a knock and then a voice "Phil!? have you seen Phoebe and Zoe?" it was Dan, Phil whispered "quick one in the wardrobe one under the bed" I ran to the wardrobe and Zoe dropped to the floor we heard Dan say again "Phil?!" he ran to the door and said "sorry I had my headphones on what did you say?" Dan repeated "have you seen Phoebe and Zoe?" he said "nope sorry why?" Dan replied "Alfie was looking for Zoe and I haven't see Phoebe in 15 mins I hope she hasn't found my secret stash of malteasers" Phil said "have you checked upstairs?" he replied "not yet that's where I'm heading now" at that Dan left and Phil closed the door he said "girls you can come out now" we made our way out of our hiding spaces I said "I'm too tall for that wardrobe Phil I am the same height as you" he said "sorry but there was nowhere else to hide" Zoe told us "we'd better get out there we can just tell Dan that we nipped to the shop or something" I agreed so that is what we did lucky we weren't seen going out of Phil's room and to be honest I was glad that I had told them my feelings towards Dan but I knew I'd have to build up the courage to tell Dan myself.

A few hours later everyone was leaving the last ones to leave were Zoe and Alfie, Zoe pulled me into a hug and whispered "don't do anything I wouldn't do" I whispered back I wouldn't, thanks for understanding, we pulled apart and Zoe said "well I guess I will be seeing you at Vidcon in a few months" I replied "yup I guess" we hugged goodbye and she left. Then it was just me, Phil and Dan.
