Chapter 5

Tris POV

I stare coldly at him. Why did he just kiss me?
"Okay honey I need to head to work so you be careful, I don't want you to fall again!" Is that really what they told him? That I fell. A small laugh escapes my breath but its too quiet to hear. He leans down and kisses my cheek and heads downstairs. I feel like im going to vomit. I wait to hear the door close and I run to the bathroom. I scrape so hard to get the kiss off of me, to make it seem like it never happen. I have to find Tobias before he makes any bad decisions. I head outside and try to blend in. Men, women, and children walk down the street in unison so I copy their movements. Right hand moves forward first. Right foot back.
I scan the crowd for anyone I know. But I still don't see anyone. I keep walking and turn the corner to see a library so I head inside. Caleb would love this place. I keep walking until I spot a girl sitting in a chair reading a book.
