Toriel approached you, and scooped you up in her arms. You snuggled into her fur.
"I was in such a dark place, child, but I heard you call to me." Toriel said, gently. "What kind of mother would I be, should I refuse to answer my child's call?" You were crying, that you were certain of. Toriel held you close to her. You could hear her heartbeat echoing in her ribcage, and it was calm and peaceful. It made you feel sleepy.
Sans and Papyrus approached from the left.
"H-HUMAN... _______________." Frisk was on Papyrus' shoulders, patting his skull. "I REMEMBER YOU. WHY WOULDN'T YOU TELL ME IT WAS YOU?" Papyrus turned to Sans. "AND WHY WOULDN'T YOU TELL ME ABOUT OUR FATHER, SANS?"
"I, uh. That's a topic for another time, bro."
"WHAT ABOUT THE TIME IN WHICH CHARA KILLED EVERYONE? WHY WOULD YOU LIE TO ME AND SAY THEY WERE ALL ON VACATION?"
"Uh... that's actually, I can explain..."
"THERE'S A LOT YOU HAVE TO EXPLAIN."
"And there's plenty of time for it." Toriel said, putting you down. Papyrus' eyesockets seemed to bug out.
"IS THIS KING ASGORE'S CLONE?! IT'S.... IT'S....SO VERY NICE TO MEET YOU!" Papyrus yelled, confused. No doubt he had different memories of Toriel, but he reacted in the only way he knew how.
"Papyrus, we've met before. Also, Sans has told me about you multiple times." Toriel had a kind look on her face. Sans' hand remained in his pockets as he grinned at Toriel.
"Nice to meet'cha in this timeline, Tori."
"And you, Sans."
A familiar cape billowed in the wind, and Asgore was upon them all.
"T-Toriel." He said. Toriel glared at Asgore, and refused to talk to him. Asgore looked a little disheartened, but you could tell he truly loved Toriel. It wasn't that Toriel didn't love Asgore, she was just extremely upset with him. Upset enough to shun him for eternitry. "Please... please come home." He whispered.
"I live in home, remember? The ruins that you named home."
"You know that's not what I meant..."
"Sans, would you like to come to Grillby's with me?" She asked, ignoring Asgore completely.
"Sorry, Tori, but I've got plans."
"BROTHER IS REJECTING GRILLBY'S?! THE TIMELINE MUST BE A DIFFERENT ONE! HAVE I BEEN TRANSFERRED TO AN ALTERNATE UNIVERSE?!" Papyrus screamed, and ran around in circles, in panic. Frisk only giggled, holding on for dear life. Sans approached you, and you awkwardly shied away. However, he wouldn't let you. A bony hand gripped your wrist and pulled you towards him.
He embraced you, and more plasma fell from his eyes. You recalled, from previous timelines, that these were his tears. His form of tears, at least.
"MOTHER! FATHER!" A voice pierced the skies, and both Toriel and Asgore froze. They turned, and the sight of their son running towards them almost caused both to collapse. The son they thought was dead was alive. "MOM! DAD!"
"A....Asriel..." Toriel stuttered, and broke out into a run. Asgore followed. Toriel embraced Asriel, and Asgore embraced them both. All three began to cry.
"I have a feeling that Toriel and Asgore are going to be able to make it through this." You said, laughing. Sans chuckled.
"I have a feeling that me and you are 'going to make it through this.'"
You blushed tomato red, as you realized what Sans was saying. That's right, he had knowledge of all previous timelines... including the one where you confessed your feelings to him. He grinned. Of course you'd be embarrassed. Of course he'd subtly tease you.
