Chapter 59 ~ Uf!Asgore

You stood up from the elevator floor and dialed a number. Before anything else, you were going to fulfill your promise. You had to.

No more broken promises.

No more lies.

No more death. 

No more suffering!

Uf!Toriel picked up. "...Yes...?" 

"I'm nearly done, but I need your help with Uf!Asgore." You say, your voice calm. It was as if you hadn't just been told a gentle skele is now a murderous skele. [I love skele. It's so cute. I also LOVE Chibigaster!]

"He won't even look at me. It's no use." She growled. "There's no point in me even trying."

"That's the problem, you aren't trying! You probably haven't even approached him since he kicked you out. He still loves you!" You insist. There's silence on the other line.

"But... love is a weakness." She murmurs.

"No, it's not. It's what keeps people alive..! Aren't you lonely?" 

Yes, having no love was why Uf!Metatton died. You wouldn't let Uf!Toriel feel unloved. Even if she killed the real Toriel... Toriel wouldn't want you to take vengeance. Toriel would want you to show Uf!Goatmom that there was something else other than death, pain, and suffering. If Uf!Toriel died, you'd never be able to face the mother you loved so dearly, perhaps out of shame.

"...I'll meet you there." That's all Uf!Toriel said, and then she hung up. 

2 HOURS LATER

"Toriel! Where have you been?" You screech. Quietly, as not to alert Uf!Asgore.

She pulled out a bouquet of... rainbow echo flowers?

"I ran all the way back to Mt. Ebott. Asgore once proposed to me with these exact echo flowers... they're rare. They only grow where heroes die." She went quiet. "Your world has many more heroes than ours..." Her notions were sweet, but you pushed her towards the door, opened it, shoved her in, and taped the door shut with duct tape.

Then, you slammed your ear to the door, and waited.

"....To...Tori....." Uf!Asgore stuttered, nervously. He was probably fidgeting.

"Asgore..." Uf!Toriel said. "These are for you." She presented him with the rainbow flowers [Or so you assumed] and he gasped. 

"Toriel... I've missed you so much!" 

"Asgore...!" 

"Please don't leave me! Don't leave me ever again, no matter how much I yell at you!" 

"Asgore, you're yelling now!"

Listening any further would be an invasion of privacy. You were happy Uf!Toriel got her happy ending. It was what Toriel would have wanted. 

The ground began to shake, and the sound of jet engines filled your ears. Inches away from you, on the other side of the hall from Asgore's room, a Pillar rose, enveloping everything in it in light. 

In the darkness, in a world that wasn't a world and a time that wasn't a time, a figure trapped in stone continued to break away the shards of rock. It grinned.

"The second Pillar, the Pillar of Destruction, has been activated." The figure's eyes flashed red... 

Soon, ever so soon. Everything would become as it should be.
