Chapter 48 ~ Underfells, of Day One ~ Monster Kid

Darkness. He awaited you, but darkness was all that ever came.

Why wasn't that person here yet?
Why would they keep him waiting?
His temper began to stir and anger took hold, but he quickly calmed himself. You would come, you would be here. You had to be. This place was your goal.

As you exited Uf!Alphys and Uf!Undyne's new shared room, you waved to them. They waved back. Both had sworn off of killing and meanness, which made you proud. They were too invested in each other, anyways.

You walked down the hall, recalling what room Monster Kid was in. Uf!Alphys had told you what happened to Monster Kid. He had lost both his parents, and was more than alone. Everyone else's selfish behavior didn't help him. Had someone just reached out to him, maybe he would be different than he is now.

You walk down the hall, and Uf!Papyrus walks towards you. Uf!Sans was nowhere to be seen.

"Did you hear that?" Uf!Papyrus asked, his skull turning to view both sides of the hall.

"Hear what?" You ask, tilting your head sideways. Uf!Papyrus was acting strangely.

"Someone screamed." Uf!Papyrus growled, searching for whatever the sound was. You raised an eyebrow. If someone had screamed, you would have heard it...wouldn't you? Uf!Papyrus didn't even have ears.

"I'm pretty sure I'd hear it too, if someone screamed." You sigh, annoyed. Uf!Papyrus ignored you and ran in a random direction.

You step in front of the door to Monster Kid's room, and were unprepared for what you saw...
