So, I've decided that if I run out of room I'll start deleting unimportant author notes. I was already thinking of pushing them to the back of the book so that people could just read them later. I've been really busy lately.
There's also another issue I need to address; you don't need to read beyond this point. You don't need to keep pressing on with this adventure. Just as you can with the game, you can leave it unfinished and walk away. We all have our choices; anything beyond this may or may not be the adventure you choose. You can let the frustration take you, or hold on to your DETERMINATION. Beyond that, Undertale is about more than just Sans. I get that you like Sans, and you want it to be just about Sans, but Toriel deserves a season about her, don't you think? She's made a lot of sacrifices for you. Her entire family has. I'm giving her the season she deserves.
I've also gotten a lot of comments about how my story is almost exactly like Cryophobia.
The thing about that is... well, I've never read any other Undertale fanfiction. Between writing it, school, work and family issues, I don't have the time. It's certainly on my reading list, but I hope you know that it is in no way related to Cryophobia whatsoever. No offense to the author intended, but this entire plot came from my own mind.
It's just been annoying me for a while, so I thought I'd address it.
Also, Ajax has nothing to do with the Undertale universe. He's not an already existing character, and he's... well, I thought of him while eating pizza.
Ajax is a lot like pizza. You don't know whether you'll get Hawaiian (ick, because your parents ordered it) or classic pepperoni and cheese. There you have it, folks; my mind, and the birth of Ajax and my hatred of Hawaiian pizza.
Woo, this was long. On to the story!
Devil!Papyrus and Devil!Sans quietly walked beside you, not even a wisp or hint of conversation coming from them. It had gotten quite awkward; I wonder why. Maybe it was the hands.
Of course, we had no intent to harm them from the beginning... but I guess it didn't seem like that to them, right?
*There is a nagging feeling inside you.
* it's a dark, scary feeling. A feeling like you are changing.
You know you can just ask questions, right? I feel like answering things right now. I know the thoughts passing through your head as if they were my own. 'Oh, is Ajax me or something?' Sorry, it doesn't work that way.
I'm me, and you're you. Why would I have any need to talk to you? Besides, our personalities are too different. Anyways, Devil!Sans looks like he wants to talk to you about something.
You turn to Devil!Sans. "Hey, do you know what the first trial is?"
He almost choked on air. Despite his lack of sweat glands, he was definetly sweating. He shook his head, unable to speak. He was afraid of you.
"The first Trial is with Muulak, Guardian of Courage. It's a Trial by Fire." HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH that does not sound good please can we not! Is it really all that important to you?
You could resurrect Toriel. That was more of a prize than you could imagine. To resurrect a monster simply from the ashes they burst into...
Your mind wandered back to the pouch Asgore carried with him ever since Toriel had died. That would be a feat in itself, getting her ashes away from him. Asgore may feign being okay, but he was by no means okay.
As you walked along, your resolve became stronger. Devil!Papyrus' glanced at you; he still couldn't trust someone like you. You seemed to be strong, and strength was something nobody could ignore. He knew that you may not use that ability for good, that you might... choose genocide.
He was frightened, for his brother, for his father, for his friend...
There was darkness behind you, a darkness that couldn't be fought off...
*Make your own tale. What do you think Muulak looks like?
