Sorry if short chapters bother you, I just love the dramatic tension they build.
Staring up at the sky through the badly-fixed roof, you were lying on your bed. It had been two days since that light thing came out of the ground, and it wasn't going away. It filled you with an extreme sense of dread.
"Toriel..." You murmur. "I need you...I wish you were here..."
Wanting to distract yourself from thoughts of your goat-mom, you turn on the T.V. A newswoman appeared on the screen, and behind her, the light.
"Thanks to an anonymous source, we now learn that this strange light source is formally called a Pillar. Is it an act of monster terrorism? Could it be something dangerous, or a plot in motion? Who knows. Right now, nobody is allowed to touch the Pillar, which could potentially injure someone on contact-"
You change the channel, but there was just more news about the 'Pillar.' It was visible all around the world... because it went straight through it. You quickly flipped back to the channel.
"It's not just our side of the world that has this issue. This Pillar comes out on the other side, and reaches to the moon on both sides. Could there be more of these Pillars, and if so, when will the next appear, and where? Watch your feet, because there's no scientific way we can tell where these things will pop up."
"Annnnnnnnnnnnnd thank you Debrah!" A cheery male news anchor appeared on the screen. "And, in more important terms, Mettaton has decided to show up to an exclusive interview with a leading magazine..."
You zoned his voice out, staring at the television without actually watching it.
"_____... ____, can you hear me...? You, uh, have a visitor." You glanced up, and saw Asgore. You still had yet to tell him Toriel's message, and it was tearing him apart. You didn't want to talk about your mother. Not yet, not ever.
"Okay....just tell them to...come right on up."
"I... don't think that's a good idea..." Asgore said, nervously. His eyes were darting around the room.
"Please...?" You didn't want to move.
Asgore sighed. "Okay, yeah. Okay...."
He went downstairs, and came back up to minutes later.
"This person is here to see you..."
Your jaw dropped to the floor, in shock. You sprung from your bed.
"...Y....You?!" You sputter, your face turning red.
