Tension is rising and Sans and Undyne are the only hope left for the monsters!
Chara is on a murderous rampage, and they've killed Toriel, much to your disdain...!
What are you fighting for?!
What can you do...?Is it all hopeless...?

"Pap, take the human and run." San extended an arm, separating Chara from both me and Papyrus. I knew who Sans was trying to protect. Undyne wielded her spears, and blocked Chara's way.
"Hey, hey, hey. I assume you're the one who has my phone." I knew the sentence was directed at me. "This really is different. Who are you?"
I remained silent, and a giggle echoed around the empty town.
"Huh. How boring. Won't even talk to me." The glint of the knife was reflected in the snow as Chara took a step forwards. "Well, we've got every time line in the world for me to figure out who you are. Let's have some fun, shall we?!"
The one named Chara thrust forwards, making a stabbing motion with his knife. Undyne blocked it, with no problem.
"You're not getting past me!" She shouted. Undyne was fighting for everyone.
"BROTHER, I..." Papyrus held me in his arms, his bony fingers digging into my flesh. I winced a little. Papyrus felt weak, that I could see as clear as day.
"Papyrus, go. Now." Sans' tone of voice proved he wasn't in the mood for an argument, and Papyrus broke out into a run.
You watched as the snow began falling harshly, until it masked Sans and Undyne from sight. Still, you could hear the clash of blade against blade and a slightly familiar sound you couldn't place. Papyrus ran forwards, and worry crossed his face.
"SANS AND UNDYNE ARE GOING TO BE FINE. THERE IS NO NEED TO BE A WORRYBONES." He said to himself, over and over. "SANS IS REALLY LAZY, SO HE MUST BE DRAGGING UNDYNE DOWN! NYEH HEH HEH, MAYBE I SHOULD'VE STAYED INSTEAD SO THE LAZYBONES COULD TAKE YOU. NOT THAT HE'D GET FAR."
"Yeah, you're right... Sans is lazy..." You felt a stirring in your soul, and a memory flashed through your head in bits and pieces, as quick as a bullet.
Why is there red?
Ah... I like ketchup.
But... you can't taste...
That was something Gaster fixed for us. We have the ability to feel as humans do, but we just... do it differently.
It was Sans. Sans and you were having a conversation in your head.
Another memory stirred your soul.
I can save you, but it will come at a cost.
Gaster...
Gaster was walking aside Papyrus, and Papyrus most likely couldn't see him. His hand went straight through his son, but physically touched me. It was a mix of slimy and solid; smooth and powdery, yet with the same texture as liquid.
[It is time you remember, even if I must mentally strain you to do so.]
"Gas...ter...?" You could barely form the words.
[From within you, I draw what I made. It may not be our ideal weapon, but it has its uses.]
"But...why...?"
"H-HUMAN?! ARE YOU OKAY?!" Papyrus seemed to be in shock from your outer monologue.
[No time for questions. This will strain your soul to the maximum output, but it should give you one ability you could possibly use wisely.]
"What ability?!" You managed to choke out the words.
[The ability that someone longs for, and another will be very displeased to use.]
"That's too vague!"
"H-HUMAN?!" At this point, you were completely ignoring Papyrus.
[Too late for explanations. Do you remember the word?]
"What word?!"
[The word you first thought of when you woke up here. That is the trigger. Unfortunately, you're going to need to summon up all of your determination...
And do this in less than 15 minutes.]
"15 minutes of what?"
[Forgive me, but you must figure this out yourself. I'll give you a little push...]
You felt your body violently thrust into the air, and Gaster began merging with it. You clawed at the ground, gasping for air. You couldn't breathe.
You choked out the name, and Gaster's will overtook your own.
"SAAAAANS!" You screamed, at the top of your lungs. You felt your blood grow boiling hot.
Another feral scream was ripped from your lips, and you felt your body hum with magical energy.
Your fingernails dug into the ground, and your eyes lit up with the frequency that Gaster output himself.
Both of your eyes lit up, one yellow and one blue. You were going through immense pain.
So this was what Gaster had meant by straining your soul...
