Author's Notes:

So... something really amazing happened last night. I woke up to a huge number of notifications and reviews na tumanga ata ako for a few minutes just to take it all in.

To beajaneako, WOW! Thank you. Thank you for enjoying this so much and recommending it to your friends. I cannot believe the amount of reads the story has gone up to in just a night. That has never happened to me. I am thankful to everyone and I promise to respond to comments. *pabebe swear*

So... here's the second chapter I was supposed to update last night as well but I wanted to polish it first.

*I'm crossing my fingers you like this*

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Everything felt like a nightmare.

Para siyang lumulutang sa kawalan the past days and she didn't know what possessed her to finally get out of the house and just drink it all away but she did coz really there was no one Meng could run to.

All her friends knew she was already over Sam.

All of them knew how much she supports Sam and Patring being together.

Her family knew the truth though and they were starting to exchange very worried looks about how "ghostly" she was becoming na naramdaman niya na kailangan niya lang lumayo muna.

She didn't need their concern... or pity.

Dahil malamang e yun ang nararamdaman nilang lahat – awa.

And now... mas lasing pa siya sa mga tambay sa kanto nila at ang nag-iisang tao sa mundo who hated her guts to death ang kasama niya.

"Saan mo ako dadalhin?" she managed to finally say.

"Gusto ko sanang ihatid ka sa Bulacan mismo pero sa lagay nang traffic sa EDSA, bukas na tayo aabot dun" RJ Faulkerson answered.

She heard him agree with utmost reluctance after the bar owner insister that he take her home.

If she had any fight in her, she would have said no.

Pero umiikot na ang mundo niya and she had just been saved from a guy trying to take advantage of her that she found herself being half-dragged, half-carried into his car without so much as a peep.

And now, she found herself making a gagging sound.

"MS. MENDOZA NOT IN MY CAR!!!!!!"

He opened the car windows to let fresh air in and held her shoulder back to stop her from bowing.

Naramdaman siguro nito na kapag yumuko siya e talagang masusuka na siya.

They made a turn then and before Maine could take another breath, the car stopped.

She closed her eyes because her focus was swirling. She heard his car door open, foot shuffling, muffled voices, and then the door on her side opening and somebody lifting her up.

"Huwag kang sumuka. Hold it in!"

Kahit siguro ang patay mapapasunod nito, Maine thought, as the command in his voice boomed inside her head regardless of how listless she already was.

"Well, he's the devil isn't he?" the voice inside her head asked. Malamang wala ding choice ang mga patay kundi sumunod.

Maine Mendoza was dead weight the moment they entered his unit.

RJ was sure she wouldn't be as heavy in a normal setting but he was still thankful he could carry her without anyone's assistance.
