RJ hasn't laughed this much in weeks.
Maine looked like she was having the time of her life too. She had even snorted more than once at his friends' shenanigans and instead of being turned off, he wanted to pull her close and kiss the life out of her and hear her laugh again right after.
It was a constant struggle between wanting to stay around the bonfire and throw crazier and funnier stories about him and his friends or taking her with him and just attaching her to his side.
His promise to himself, though, that he will allow her to dictate the pace of what goes on between them was what kept him in check.
"Oh Maine! Kaya pa ba?" Kris asked before handing Maine the shot of tequila.
"Oo naman!" she responded, full of spirit "Mas lasing ka na nga ata sa akin e."
"Pinagtutulungan nyo kase ako!" his bestfriend responded before handing the next shotglass to Gab.
"Sino ba kase ang nagsabi sa'yo na gawin mo lahat?" Derrick cracked.
This drinking game they invented called "Spit or Swallow" was a raunchier-named version of "Never-Have-I-Ever". They take turns announcing a personal fact and if it is also a fact for another person within the group, they have to "swallow" the alcohol. If not, they spit it towards the bonfire (which builds the fire).
So far, Maine has learned that they all once had a crush on the same girl in high school and fought over it. They have all stolen cars from their parents' garage and that Josh and Ruru crashed those that belonged to their fathers when they did it. He, Kris, and Jake have experienced dressing up as girls and competing in a school pageant. They did a sexual position they saw by watching porn, which often ended up badly (except for Jake, it seems). Derrick, Ruru, and Kris also experienced mistaking "Mary Jane Brownies" as normal brownies and ended up dancing with a group of transvestites in a club. Kris even took the one he was dancing out to his car until he realized what he had done and ended up waking half of The Fort with his scream.
She's also learned that he once received a claim from a girl that he was her son's father and that he once dated a famous actress who he kept calling by another name until Josh had to tell him about her correct name.
On the other hand, he learned that she once had a crush on someone double her age and pretended to ask for "tutoring" from the guy – an uncle of one of her classmates. She lost her Kuya's newly-bought Swatch wristwatch and has not told anyone (except for Pat and them) up until today.
Some of the things they've both done were pretend to receive a phone call from a friend in the middle of a bad date and pretend they needed to leave for a family emergency, steal something from a classmate and replace it with something new, and use their cars for a make-out session.
He initially didn't know how to feel about hearing that she has seen other men before but chastised himself for being stupid in thinking that just because she had unrequieted feelings for Sam, she did not do anything to try to change that situation.
Na-recognize nya kaagad that what he was feeling was jealousy and clamped down on it.
Everything was in the past... before he came into her life.
"Kinuha ko yung underwear nang naka-one night stand ko" Jake announced.
Gab, Maine, RJ, and Kris spit their shots.
"Alam mo hanggang ngayon ayoko maniwala talaga na itong si Kris hindi ginawa yun ever e" Derrick declared after swallowing liquor "Si RJ gets ko kase maarte siya sa ganyang bagay pero... Kris, hindi mo talaga ginawa yun?"
