Today was the day that Patricia's whole entourage went for their first fitting.
The bride had a different day for the fitting of her own gown but Maine's bestfriend was there to bond with family and friends. Right after, nagdesisyun ito na ayain din siya for coffee. They walked the length of Serendra and chatted.
Naisip ni Meng na it would be futile to even deny it.
They knew each other too well.
Kahit na sing-laki nang Titanic ang ngiti niya kaninang nagsusukat nang damit at nakikipag-kulitan sa iba pa nilang mga kaibigan, her bestfriend would see through the farce.
Still, she could not find herself saying the whole truth – that she was getting confused about her feelings for a certain handsome devil, most especially when the certain handsome devil is her supposed boyfriend.
The other woman nodded.
That was an acceptable answer.
It always had been.
"Kumusta naman tong ikalawang book mo? Marami ka na nasulat?"
"It's actually going great so far. I'm ten chapters in at least which is 1/4 of the book already.
Patring rolled her eyes. "You're dating the guy now! You're more privy to who he really is! And I am guessing na if you actually considered dating him, most probably dahil mabait naman talaga siya.
Ikaw nga tong ikakasal at the spur of the moment e! What could be sweeter than that?"
One ongoing joke between the two of them was how Sam had now become Meng's bestfriend.
Patricia would always act jeaous over it and would sometimes even pretend fight her now-fiance dahil kinukuha nito ang matalik na kaibigan.
Meng had never been comfortable about that joke but she hid it well.
It hit too close to home on how she felt for Sam and made her guilty.
Today though, she laughed it off.
She and Patring turned to see Enzo coming up to them.
"Enzo, my bestfriend, si Patricia."
They shook hands.
"Anong ginagawa niyo dito?"
"Fitting naming wedding entourage niya" she answered "Ikaw?
