Maine knew she had the upper hand the moment they picked up the Faulkeron heir from his office and he gaped at her.

As in literal na napanganga ito nang makita siya.

She could not help the smile that made its way to her face at the way he looked kanina.

Kung siya nga mismo nabigla siya at the magic a stylist team wielded on her, mas lalo siguro ang lalakeng ito who might have intended to embarrass her tonight.

Liz was frustrated with the color blue and said she normally went for white, black, or red when she wanted her clients to stand out in understated elegance.

So the stylist took out her most bold blue dress for Maine if that was the color she was going to work with.

"Hindi ako papayag masapawan ka" she even mentioned "Gab told me I had to make sure you looked stunning."

And she thought of messaging Gab and Liz to congratulate them. If RJ Faulkerson's reaction was anything to go by, they had achieved their goal.

Gusto niya biglang sumigaw nang "BOOM!" nang makita niya ito but stopped herself.

There was no need to gloat.

She knew she had won against him in the car.

Isa sa mga realizations ni Maine sa gabing ito ay tama si Gab sa napakaraming bagay.

Kilala nga nang nakababatang Faulkerson ang kapatid nito.

Everyone was surprised that he had taken a woman other than his sister to the event. No one said it out loud but she saw their eyes.

People were curious about who she was. Some were a little more blunt in asking her, some were a little craftier in trying to hide their interest.

But the curiosity was DEFINITELY there.

Alam ni Maine na gusto siya makilala nang mga tao, not because of who she was, but because she was the date of one of the hottest bachelors in the country.

She was polite with everyone but she reserved her warmth for two particular people.

The Danteses were such a gracious pair. Nasabihan pa siya ni Marian Rivera na buti na lang e siya ang ka-date ni RJ at hindi ang isa sa mga bobang heredera na madalas kasama nito sa functions.

She laughed out loud at the premiere actress' words.

Hindi niya inaasahan ang frankness at pagka-"kalog" nito.

Nung makita niya ito kanina e gusto niyang halikan sa paa and the other woman was so congenial.

Maine just wanted to fangirl and go crazy at Marian Rivera's feet sa totoo lang e. But her dress would not allow her. If she so much as bent a little incorrectly, her boobs would pop out.

And this dress in particular now was what had RJ Faulkerson raging.

Gusto niya sanang sabihan ito na kahit naman siya e nag-ogle.

Bumagsak pa nga ang panga niya nung una silang magkita e.

Pero Maine decided not to goad the man too much in this event. It was formal, there were a lot of press, and the biggest names in business were present. She can take their catty fights to a whole other level another time.

Still, natutuwa siya na nagagawa niya itong mainis.

Alam niya na para siyang bata dun but she had to deal with small wins right now.
