Liam's P.O.V
It's Monday and my wife just left for airport three hours ago. She's getting better handling the workload given to her as an Intern. And no one is suspicious about her disguise yet. As much as I hate the Idea of her been gone every week I have to let her do what she needs to do. I'm just trying to be supportive. I know she would do the same. Their new headquarters in New York is almost ready, the announcement has been made to the public.
Today I decided to do something I haven't done in a long time. I decided to see my psychopath brother. I just felt the need to see him today. It's strange. I mean why on earth should I visit someone who tried to kill the whole family. Someone that broke out of prison and tried to kill me and my family again. He shot Jane.
I decided to leave work during my lunch to see him, I don't want to waste my precious time. Why on earth did I even choose Monday of all days in a week?
I got inside the car and John drove off, he already knows where I'm going. I decided to Facetime Jane on my way there. "Oh hey baby, I was just about to call you. I'm on my way to the office." She said with a smile.
"Hope you're ready to reveal yourself soon?" I asked her.
"Well, no one has discovered me yet. Used my little British accent to help myself, I thought I lost it." She said laughing. She's enjoying this.
"Trust me, babe you don't need to bring it out, you never lost it." I chuckled.
"Whatever" She replied. "I still don't understand how they haven't recognized you in six weeks. I mean your face is in almost every magazine I could think of, business or not. You're Liam Greenwood's wife remember. Our wedding pictures are everywhere, we did a pre-wedding photo shoot. Also the minute we got back from our honey, we were booked for three photo shoots. It's ridiculous, I can't believe they bought your crazy idea." I stated.
"Well, my plan worked out fine. I wanted to know who is working hard and who is not. I wanted to be able to pick up every single detail. Things I won't able to see every time or hear as a CEO. You know all those little gossips they will never say right to your face. It's actually helpful. Things that needs improvement. I want to be a successful businesswoman like you are. You took the company and turned it into a freaking Empire. I want to be someone that great. I want our son to be proud of me. I want to be known as my own person not just Liam Greenwood's wife." She said seriously.
Now I understand why she's trying so hard. But my father started me at a very young age, visiting the company was like visiting a park for me. I had no choice.
"I get it. Babe I trust you, and I know you're doing a great job. I'm really proud of you. I'm proud to call you my wife Jane no matter what, keep that in mind. We are in this together. We got this babe." I said making her smile.
"Thanks, honey. I'm about to get there so I'll talk to you later. Say hi to Ian for me, and call me when you're home. Make sure he has his bath and brush his teeth before going to sleep okay. Mrs. Mary Ann should be able to help with that." Her mama side is back.
"I got it, Jane I'm his dad remember not his uncle. Bye, I love you" I said. "Love you..." She replied and hung up. I let out a breath.
"Missing her already?" John said looking at me from the mirror.
"Whatever, shut up" I smiled making John laugh.
We finally got there.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" John asked after getting there. "Are you kidding me, you couldn't ask me that like three hours ago. Let's just get this over with my son is waiting for me." I walked in with John and four other securities.
They brought him into the room I was asked to stay. His hands were chained to his legs.
"Oh look who we have here it must be the end of the world. The almighty Liam came to visit. What is today? The day of judgment?" He said smirking and looking around.
"Cut the crap Harrison!" I said calmly.
"Oh yeah, I saw the news that you got married. How is marriage life treating ya? I mean, I would have married her up too after taking two freaking bullets for me. Wait is she here? She must be the head of your bodyguard now. I wouldn't mind. Maybe I should have given into my temptations when I had her, she was so gorgeous. You lucky bastard. Must be nice." He continued.
"Don't you dare talk about my wife!" I said angrily through gritted teeth.
"Sorry, my bad. I would respect her too. You know my only regret right now is that I didn't do the same thing you did to Joanna in that same room to her. It would have felt damn good" He said repeated with the same stupid smirk on his face.
I stood up and punched his face as hard as I could. He laugh out loud with blood in his mouth.
"Why are you so mad Liam? Huh? Why on earth did you come here? I don't remember inviting you. You never invited me to your house or see me visit uninvited. This is my house, the one you created for me and I never complained. So tell me, why did you come? You already stole the life I wanted, you're nothing but a phony. You'll always walk in my shadow." He said getting angry.
"You're right, I don't know why on earth I came here. This is your home, and I'm glad you're enjoying it because this is where you will be till the day you die. No escape this time, don't even think about it or they'll make your days end faster than it should." I said and I stood up ready to walk out.
"I'm not afraid to die you son of a bitch! Do you think you're better than me? Do you think you deserve all you have now? Do you think you deserve a girl like her? I actually pity her because I know the poor girl could have done better than a thief like you. You don't deserve a family, not with everything you've done in the past. Not with everyone you've hurt. You don't even deserve anything good. You stole my life!" He yelled loud enough for me to hear.
I didn't reply him. I just left without looking back.
