Jane's P.O.V
It's the third day after the birth of our baby girl. I've been seeing her, but Liam is seeing her more and holding her more because I had a bit of health issue I had to be in bed for. Liam barely leave her side. And the whole family is with us.
Liam has been able to hold her skin to skin more than me.
My family in London can't be with us, because my mom's doctor recommend her not to fly. I told all of them not to worry and just stay in London. We can just talk on the phone. Since they were there for me when I had Ian they don't need to worry. I'm not alone anymore. I have Liam, Ian, and my husband's family, and my friends. My dad called, but he's not in the country.
I just got discharged but our girl is still in the NICU.
Great news though, she is able to breath on her own and I can't even explain how happy I am. It's just... I can't describe how wonderful I feel getting that news. I feel so blessed. They still need to keep her in the NICU just in case, and we were told we can see her anytime we want.
"I'm gonna go refill this for you, and see if Liam can get Logan to get the car ready." Liana said taking my water bottle with her. I've been drinking slightly hot water because I prefer it. "Okay thanks" I replied.
"Are you feeling all better now?" Arie asked. "Yeah, I've been better" I replied. "But why is your face so sad, they said she's doing alright." She added. "Yeah, I've been watching her too. I think she's having the baby blues. I also went through that she will be fine soon. It's Jane she's much stronger." Laila said but I didn't say anything.
Liam walked in with Liana. "How is she? I know she's been feeling down." Liam asked. "She'll be fine soon." Arie answered.
"Come on, she wants to see her mom. I know you also wanna see her." Liam said walking up to me. He put my shoe on for me and held my hand. We both walked out of the private room to the NICU.
"You can hold her, she needs you. You've only been looking at her all this time. She needs that warmth she can't just get it from me. You're her mother. Jane stop being mean to yourself and her. It's not your fault and she's okay." Liam said while he assist the nurse. He placed her in my arms and tears start flowing again.
Liam helped me wipe my tears while I hug her tight. "My baby" I cried. "I'm sorry I wasn't careful enough, I'm putting you through this." I said crying.
"It's not your fault, things like this can happen no matter what. She should be ready to go home sooner than we expect. I guess she's just as strong as her mother. Just make sure she gets that skin to skin contact with you or her father. It helps a lot. When you come back to the hospital tomorrow to check up on her, we should be able to know if she still needs to stay her with us or we can just send her home with you. And Jane don't forget to use the medicine prescribed to you, you should be alright in a week." Dr. Griffin said with smile.
"Thank you so much for all your help I can't thank you enough." Liam said to her holding her hand for hand shake. "I'm just doing my job Liam" She said. "And you're very good at it." He replied.
"Make sure your take good care of Jane, so she can be back to herself in no time." She encouraged and Liam nodded in understanding.
Liam gently helped me on the chair with the baby in my hands. "Have you finally decided on the name we can't call her baby forever?" Liam asked smiling.
We've been picking out names since we knew she was coming, but with the way things went and how I feel I might had more names. "I have few options" I said and he moved closer eager to hear it. I looked at her again and I could feel myself smiling again while I cry.
