Liam's P.O.V
"I called this urgent board meeting because I wanted to set some things straight." I said standing in front of the board members invited.
"You were invited to this meeting for two reasons. One, you were invited because I found out some things I thought you should know. Two, for you to know the position you are in and how it can affect you in the future." I voiced out my thoughts.
"It came to my attention that for a while now some of you have the time to plot on my downfall.
"I promised my wife no one will never mess with our family ever again. Unlike you, I'm not a killer, I don't like getting my hands dirty. But, I just can't hand you over to the government just for you to sit your ass in a fancy jail. I know you Uncle, you see, I've been studying you for quite a while now. I knew you were up to no good, but then you have been so quiet that I decided to look the other way. And that, uncle, that was my mistake. I didn't know you would be this sneaky and cruel. I knew you were greedy, but I didn't calculate this." I said walking around him. I paused to face him.
"Sitting your ass in jail with your mind at peace about your connections and the fortune you can come back to. I know right now you are cool and collected because of the people you have bought with money and power. But, I have decided to make you a scapegoat publicly. To let all those that might even think of hurting my wife, my family again to think twice. Don't underestimate me Uncle, you have no idea." I pulled the chair facing him out and gently sat on it.
"I know every single one of them. Ever since the incident, you showed me how much I have been slacking. I got too comfortable trusting people around me. I know everything there is to know about you and the person you are working with. Every dirty little secret, all your funds hidden away, all the crime you have committed. There are some things I can't even give to the government because I can't put my mother through the shame." I clenched my teeth.
"You are just a little boy. Your mother will be ashamed of you. How dare you treat your uncle like this, and accuse me of such! I am your Uncle and you will show me some respect!" He yelled still not backing down.
"Look at you so confident. I like it, it's helping. Right now all your accounts hidden in banks around the world are being closed down and refunded to wherever the money came from. You see, these days we young generation are so blessed. Technology is just amazing, it's a form of power. For someone like me, it's easy to use the most advanced technology. That plus my vast connections. I like to use people with brain more than people that can only use violence." I smiled when I saw his shoulders drop.
"I will take that power from you like it nothing. I already did. No one is coming to save you Uncle. I sent each of your connections a little gift. They should have received it by now. Meaning, your little friend that promised to get you out will be too busy. And the one that promised you a comfortable prison center, won't be able to keep his promise. And that person that made gave you the plan to target my wife will also be dealt with. You have zero money in all your accounts, all your shares and investments are gone. Your friends know so they can't help you. You will in fact be in jail for a long time and you will come back home to nothing if you ever get a chance to be released." I said looking at him dead in the eyes.
"For your information, my mother already knows. And she will not be saving you either, not after you tried to kill her daughter-in-law. Now it all makes sense where my brother got his evilness from. It brings back a lot of memories of you always hanging out with him, and always in his ears. I thought you were trying to talk some sense into him, but you poisoned his mind. You used his weakness to push your agenda. You have been trying to get rid of me for years, because my dad trusted you and you know he chose me to be his heir. Your greed got my brother to his grace." I let out my theory hoping I was wrong.
"Well look whose eyes are open. Your brother was too weak, it was only a matter of time. I told him he lacked patience. He just wanted to rush the process and that got him killed." He said with a wicked grin. I tried to compose myself and not give away my disappointment.
"It all make sense now, I was wondering how Harrison still had connection outside. How he was able to know what was going on. And how he escaped. You did all that, but you managed to cover your tracks. While you smiled in our faces. You saw my mother, your sister, go through all that pain. All of this for money and power? Really? You destroyed our family. My parents trusted you. Well, thank you for proving me right. It was all going through my head and I thought I was thinking too far. But thanks for confirming my suspicions." I managed to smirk to let him know he messed up.
"See where YOUR patience lead you. Arrested for four different crime. Attempted murder, embezzlement, fraud, corruption. And... the murder of the late Harrison Greenwood. That's five." I added making him angry.
"You have no proof!" He yelled.
"Don't be so sure. You just confessed, and if that's not enough. My team have gathered witnesses and you left prove of your payment to your 'friends' like bread crumbs. You are not as smart as you thought. I really should thank you for making things clear now. I was able to see those that are for me and against me. Like I said I have been slacking, but not anymore. No one will ever mess with me or my family again and that's a promise." I said confidently and stood up.
I walked towards the exist and stopped as soon as I got to the door.
"Embrace your new home Uncle, because no one is coming for you" I stated without looking back, opened the door and walked out confidently. I shut the door behind me.
