It Needs to Happen

Chapter 8

Josh POV

I turn around and punch Ryan right in the face and knock that fucking smile off of his face as people tend to Colleen. "Colleen" Rachel asks rubbing her cheek. "What the hell happened?" Rachel asks looking at me. "Can everyone leave us for a second please" I say to the rest of the crew that has gathered around. I am crying. I drop to my knees as Colleen starts coming too. "Colleen did you sleep with him? Please tell me you didn't" I sob. "Wait ! What?" Rachel asks shocked looking between us. "Joshua fuck you if you think that. He told me he dropped something in my drink. He may have raped me!" Colleen sobs. I feel sick. Rachel is crying now holding Colleen. "I am sorry Colleen. I just thought you slept with him and.." I stop. "Oh my god the baby Colleen! If he did what he says he did it might not be mine" I say staring at her. She starts to sob.Rachel stands her up as I hold her hands. "I don't even know what we should do" I say in shock. "Well I am calling the cops on Ryan and we need to get Colleen to a doctor now. Call the doctor you had earlier" she says. I nod and call Dr Enders to meet us after the show at the hotel. She agrees and I stare at Colleen. "You ok baby?" I say hugging her. She nods but she isnt registering. "We need to cancel the show babe" I say. "No. I won't let him win. This is your baby Joshua" she says as the show begins. She wipes her face from tears as Rachel adds some lipstick to her. I lean her down and kiss her lips. God she is one strong girl.

We go back to the hotel quietly and wait for the doctor. We tell her everything and she starts screening Colleen for STD's just in case. I ask her about how early we can do a paternity test. "Josh you can't do one until the baby is born" she says sadly. I feel Colleen hold my hand as I sink to sit beside her. "I will call you in the morning about the results" she says as I walk her out. I return to Colleen crying in bed. I lay beside her and hug her tight. Tighter than ever before. "Oh baby I am gonna kill him" I say crying as well. My phone starts to ring and its the lieutenant that arrested Ryan. "Joshua Evans?" he asks. "Yes" I reply. "I have got some news for you regarding Ryan Landers" he says. "We are holding him overnight. We are digging everything up about his past and doing medical testing" he continues. "Okay will you please call me tomorrow as soon as you know anything? I don't want him anywhere near my wife. I want to press charges" I say staring at Colleen. "Absolutely" he says before he hangs up for the night. My world is crumbling hard and I am falling harder than ever before.
