Chapter 39

Colleen POV

I am sitting at my desk at work writing with Chris. It has been a long day of meetings and conference calls as we finalize some scripts. I stand up to grab a coffee and instantly feel pain in my lower stomach. Chris is aware of what could happen so he stands up after seeing me stop moving and close my eyes. "Colleen? Whats happening?" he asks holding my back. "Nothing just stretching" I say sitting back down. He nods and slowly sits down in front of me. We continue to talk and it hits me again. He leans forward and grabs my hand. "Sis? Do I need to call Josh?" he asks. "No" I say smiling. I know he doesn't believe me but I carry on. Finally we are done and he goes to leave. "Lets walk down together" he says. "I am fine" I say holding onto my coffee cup tight. "No Colleen. Lets go" he says sternly. I nod and grab my stuff and we walk out to the cars where I act as normal as possible. "Colleen please let Josh come get you" he says. "Christopher, I am fine" I say. I walk towards my car and I know he is watching me. I sit in my car and lean back pausing for a second. I am getting hot. "Please baby stay with me" I whisper starting to get upset at my own body. I start the car and my phone rings. "Baby" Josh says. "Yup?" I answer. "Chris says you aren't feeling well. Why don't I pick you up?" he asks. "Josh I am fine. He is overreacting" I say as I continue driving. "Ok as long as you are able to drive home. I will be home in a minute" he says. I smile and continue on after I hang up. I start feeling really ill and getting stomach pains like crazy. I pull over in tears. I can't see where I am but I call Josh back. "Babe?" he answers. "J-oooossh.....I am in soooo much pain" I say sobbing. "Baby where are you?" he asks getting upset. "I don't know" I say crying hugging my stomach. "Take a breath hun and look around. What do you see?" he asks. "I see a street sign....39th street" I say. "Off Ventura babe?" he asks. "Yes Josh pleaseeee" I say. "I am coming sweetie" he says as I hear him running. "Keep talking to me babe" he says. "I am going to to sit outside the car. I am going to be sick" I say as I grab my cell and turn off the Bluetooth. "Oh Colleen, why are you so stubborn?" he says trying to make me laugh. "I am 5 minutes away" he says. I sit with my head in my hands as I lean against the hood. I can't talk anymore as cars whiz by me. Finally I hear Josh's car stop behind mine. Matt is with him as they approach me. "Come on baby lets get you home" Josh says kissing my temple. "Matt is going to drive your car home" He adds.
