Chapter 49

Colleen POV

I just came back from the clinic. Chris drove me there from the office as I wasn't feeling well. Chris is walking me up to the front door when Josh sees me from the kitchen. Chris escorts me to sit on the couch as Josh races over. "Whats happening?' Josh asks looking between me and Chris. "Wasn't feeling good so Chris drove me to the clinic" I say laying down. "She has her heart murmur back" Chris says as I watch Josh listen. "Why didn't you call me?" Josh asks. "Cause I knew you had a management meeting that you have been waiting for nearly three weeks" I say grabbing his hand. "Still" Josh says. "I had her Josh" Chris says. "What did the doctor say?" Josh asks. "She is on new meds and she needs to be on bed rest for the next two weeks. They are trying to keep her pregnant as she is only 28 weeks" Chris says kneeling down to me. "Oh babe" Josh says kissing my hand. "I am going home. Take care of yourself and call me if you need Jessica to come help you guys or take Lily" he says. I hug him tight. "Thanks Christopher. Love you" I say. "Love you too Colleen" he says and gets up to go home. I lay down on the couch as Lily comes back with Josh. "My baby" I say smiling as she reaches for me and Josh lays her carefully on my chest. "Colleen I don't want you back to work at all until this baby is born. You heart is already damaged after Lily and now the struggles you have are putting you at risk" he says. "But I..." I start to say. "Colleen its done. I am not taking no for an answer. My rules" he says sternly. I nod knowing not to argue as Lily and I cuddle. Josh takes her from me a few minutes later and places her in the highchair and starts feeding her. I walk over to my purse and grab the ultrasound pic they took this afternoon. "Babe look at the baby", I say holding it in front of him. He smiles and looks at me. "Yup looks like an Evans" he says laughing. "Look like a boy or a girl?" I ask him smirking. He stops feeding Lily and stands to face me. "You found out the gender without me?" He asks. "No the doctor wrote it on the back of my report" I say. "You turn it over" I add smiling. He turns the report over and starts to cry. "Babe...." He says sobbing. "What are we having?" I ask getting emotional watching him. He covers his mouth with his hand and stares at me. "Look" he says passing it to me. I read it and smile as he grabs me. "Are you sure you are happy?" I ask. He nods.
