It Needs to Happen

Chapter 41

Colleen POV

I feel much better this morning than I did yesterday. I slide out of bed slowly and let Josh sleep. I start the bath and decide to climb in and relax before Lily wakes up. I close my eyes and lay back in the tub. Seems the pains have disappeared but just extremely tired and a heavy chest. Maybe my body is accepting the pregnancy. I hear the door creaking open. "I am in the tub" I say from behind the door. Josh walks in and sits on the edge. "Everything ok?" He asks cautiously. "Pain is gone and no bleeding. Maybe it was the flu" I say grabbing his hand smiling. "Good babe" he says as he kisses my fingers. He leans down to me and kisses my lips as his hand sifts under the water and onto my belly. Its one of the most amazing touching moments I can remember with him. I smile through the kiss as I grab his face. "How did I get so lucky?" I ask him. "I feel the same" he says as we lean our foreheads against each other. I grab the shampoo and start washing my hair and then Josh starts taking over. He is massaging my scalp and it feels amazing. "Enjoying that?" He asks smiling. "Orgasmic almost" I say giggling. He finishes up and I step out of the tub as he wraps me in a huge towel. "Love you baby" he says. I hug him tight. "You need to stay home today and relax with us ok?" He asks. I nod. I step out of the bathroom and throw some clothes on as Josh gets showered. I step out into the kitchen and start making coffee until I hear Lily waking up. I walk to her room and peak in through the door. She is holding herself standing up against the railing of her crib. "Oh my god Lily" I say. I hear Josh come up behind me to see whats going on. "She is growing so fast" I say tearing up. Josh smiles and hugs me as he walks over to pick her up and change her. I make my way back to the kitchen to start making some breakfast until Josh brings Lily to her highchair. He starts getting her pablum together as I stand there and watch. He is Mr Mom. He has his routine as usually I am gone by now for work. He makes me fall in love with him watching him with out daughter. He is singing away to her and she is just staring at him in awe. I grab our food and bring it to the table. I am so tired already as I eat but I know Josh is watching me like a hawk. I get to enjoy my time with my family today. I need to mellow.
