Colleen POV

I am doing perfectly. "I can finally breathe" I say as Josh stands behind me as I brush my teeth. He smiles and hugs me gently. "I am glad babe but its only been three days. Take it easy" he says as we slowly walk back to my hospital bed. My mom is putting clean sheets on and has brought a new comforter from home. "There you go Colleen. Nice clean sheets" she says. I hug her smiling. "Thanks Mom" I say as Josh sits me down. "Want to sit or lay down?" He asks. "Sit" I say. He sits beside me staring at me. "Want the wheelchair?" My Mom asks. "Why where are we going?" I ask starting to cry. Josh smiles. "You want to go see him?" Josh asks tearing up. "Yes" I say squeezing his hand. He lowers me into the wheelchair and I feel nauseous. My excitement is playing with me. Josh pushes my chair Til we reach the nursery. Josh buzzes us in. "Mrs Evans? Pleasure to meet you" a young nurse says. "Yes that's me. Thank you for looking after our son. Is he ok?" I ask as Josh rubs my shoulder. "So much better. He has gained over a pound" she says as she leans into the bassinet and picks him up. She lowers him into my arms as Josh helps me hold him. "Babe" I say crying. Josh smiles at me staring at me. "He is beautiful" I whisper. "Have you seen his Mommy?" He asks. I smile and kiss Josh over Noah. I hold him tighter as I stare at him. I am sobbing just looking at him. "Joshua we need to go" I say. He nods and lays Noah back in the bassinet as the nurse hooks him back up. "I feel really sick" I say breathing heavy. The nurse and Josh bend down to me. "Colleen it's overexcitement. Just deep breaths" the nurse says listening to my breathing. Josh is running his thumb along the top of my hand. I slow down my breathing until Josh feels comfortable bringing me to my room. He slides me into bed and covers me. "Snuggle me" I say to him. He climbs in beside me rubbing my back. "We have a son and a daughter" I say to him. "We do. Joshleen kids" he says laughing. I grab him tighter until I need to close my eyes.

I wake up a bit later and no one is in the room with me. I look at the time and its around dinner time. Josh has probably gone to eat in the cafeteria. I slide my legs over the side of the bed and stand up as I shuffle to the window. I stand there and look down at the world around the hospital window. I love being alive. I hear the door open as Josh and my Mom talk. They stop talking when they notice the bed is empty and I am standing by the window. "Babe you shouldn't be alone when walking around" Josh says walking towards me. "I am fine. How was dinner?" I ask hugging him. "Good. Missed you though" he says smiling at me. I see over Joshua's shoulder that my Mom leaves the room. "Finally alone" he whispers grabbing my face and leaning down to passionately kiss me. I love every second as I hold him tighter. "Trying to give me further heart surgeries?" I ask jokingly. He starts to laugh as he hugs me closer. "Just miss you babe" he whispers into my hair. I nod hugging him harder. My man is everything to me.
